Decided to stay there on basis of positive experience at ACE Hotel in Portland earlier this year. Not disappointed; same style, same "feel". Had booked a large room with a king size bed, which is what we got (room #408). Very large indeed, with lots of light, giving on the street (not noisy, in spite of). large "dining" table, with... My husband and I booked a stay at the Ace Hotel through Jetsetter for a weekend stay. I've used Jetsetter to book hotels twice, and both experiences were fine. I was a bit unsure of what to expect of the Ace Hotel, but despite the dorm-room minimalist decorations and bunker-style aesthetics, the hotel delivered all the amenities you expect for... More

There nothing like a great hotel to set the stage for any visit out of town. In a city loaded with a wide range of accomodations, The Ace Hotel clearly stands out and above the crowd. A short walk from Penn Station gets you in that New York frame of mind and a warm hello from everyone on the staff... More

This is a current cool choice in NYC but it comes with some health warnings. Anyone over the age of 30 is going to feel old as they walk into the dark lobby filled with mac wielding 20 some-things and music pounding out . The super cool reception staff (jeans and skinny ties) are welcoming and then you head up... More

Needed a hotel in the area for several events throughout the weekend and needed it with short notice. The Ace fit the location need perfectly and they had availability so I booked it not expecting much more than a place to stay when not out and about. Turns out we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The building... More

If you're looking for a very cool hotel in NY that's conveniently located, has plenty of good food, coffee and drinks and has it's finger on the cultural button, this is the place. I don't understand some of the comments on here about rooms being too small and fighting your way through the lobby. If you want a hotel that's... More

SoI landed up staying @ the Ace hotel this past week and it has its good and bads. Location was fine as it was convieient to most things and attractions. Upon 1st arrival it looks liek the lobby is a business center cause all you'll see is a bunch of hipster on their apple comps doing who knows what. Go... More

Great hotel, very cool set up, beautiful building and full of thoughtful quirks that make it a great package. If you want to stay in central New York somewhere different from your average hotel, then you should check this place out. The rooms are well decorated with great design features and the beds are amazingly comfortable! There are 3 great... More

I stumbled upon this hotel rather by accident. It turned out to be one of the happiest accidents I've come by. Walking into the hotel is like walking into a Ralph Lauren catalogue. You are instantly hit with the posh/hipster/flannel meets metal lobby, complete with a atrium-like bar. The energy is palpable, and you don't know whether to check-in or... More
