Arrived at The Strand at Noon and was warmly greeted by Matthew at the Front Desk. We were promptly checked in and allowed to get in our room earlier than we expected. Not only that, we were upgraded to the 19th floor with a beautiful view of the Empire State Building. Everyone who works there are great. We had lunch... More

My husband and I have just arrived home from our wedding/ honeymoon in NYC. We chose the Strand for it's central location, beautiful pictures and fantastic reviews and it definitely lived up to all of our expectations. When we arrived we were greeted in the stunning lobby by well presented, extremely friendly staff. Our room, well what can we say,... More

We stayed at The Strand for seven nights and had a fantastic experience. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the sheets! Our only complaint was that there was no coffee maker in the room. We were told at check out that we could have requested one but were never told that at check in.... More

The Strand is a fantastic hotel which has the convenience of being close to the heart of New York City yet the charm of being shielded from the hussle and bustle. The boutique restaurant has a unique menu and is delicious! For after hours snacks, there's a Blacksmith located across the road which has lots of variety. Staff were always... More

Centrally located with near-immediate access to virtually all of Manhattan. Style and an excellent sense of aesthetics permeates this gem of a hotel. Our room was large and comfortable, and the service most attentive. We'll definitely return on our next visit!

The first impression of The Strand Hotel is a good one. It is a modern, hip looking building. Housekeeping leaves much to be desired. The carpet in my small room contained quite a bit of white lint. Clearly, the carpet had not been vacuumed. The blanket was filled with strands of various hair. The bathroom appeared clean; however, the lack... More
