The hotel is really old. We had the ensuite, which is good as we have our own little private bathroom. The hotel looks shabby with very slow (really slow) elevator. However, the room is surprisingly clean. The rooms are small, but you will have comfortable bed. In NYC, this hotel offers really affordable accommodation, especially for us where we spent... More

I have just spent a week in NYC and I stayed at Royal Park Hotel as everything else was either booked or quite expensive... And I made a mistake... for the price paid (180 USD taxes included) the place was clearly not worth it at all. A extremely small room, basically with a bed, no closet at all and a... More

I stayed here a few nights back in November of 2011. As you can imagine New York city is expensive... especially when you flight out on late notice without sufficient time to shop around for a Hotel. This place did the trick. The room are clean but not perfect... I looked under the bed/mattress and it was clean... the front... More

The Royal Park is in a decent location, although it's roughly a 10 dollar cab ride to the heart of Manhattan. The subway would be the recommended means of travel, and the closest one is 2 blocks away. My girlfriend and I paid almost 600 dollars for a 4 night stay, and we had to share a bathroom with 8... Booked a couple of nights in this hostel and although the place did look ok on arrival, I must admit that entering the room was quite a shocker. Had a double bed and the room was only large enough for it to fit. The place is also quite old with wires out of the walls (using the plugs does look... More

We booked a room with private bathroom in this very nice hotel located close to the subway (downtown in 10 min). It's very affordable and the room are clean, the bathroom too. Not too noisy for NYC. The staff is really friendly, helpful. No problem at all during our stay. I recommend this hotel and will surely choose it again... More

Recently stayed for 3 nights at the Royal Park Hotel in a twin bedroom with my friend and we shared bathroom facilities. Bathrooms were clean and there are two on each floor. We were situated on the 6th floor [tip: head up a few floors as the bathrooms get more modern]. We paid about 60 dollars a night so really... More

Went with a school group. Very reasonable prices for 2 double beds or 2 queen beds in a room with a bathroom. 1 block to the 1,2 or 3 trains. 2 great breakfast places around the corner (lenny's bagels and green cafe). Denise Espinal was great to work with to make the arrangments. I found the staff to be professional... More

After reading previous reviews I was very worried about staying in this hotel. In fact it was more of a hostel than a hotel, with a bathroom shared between 6 rooms. This was one of the major problems because it was difficult to get a shower in the morning. This also meant that the bathroom got dirty quickly, even though... More

Yes, bedbugs. We observed bite marks AND a live adult-size bedbug. Deadbolt lock was pulled out of the door at the screws; old fashioned metal room key-- no electronic cardkeys; room door did not meet the casing or threshold; television cable dangling mid-air, not properly attached to any surface; no television remote; only 4 t.v. channels; radiant heat noisy; room... At the Royal Park Hotel we take the report of Bed Bugs very seriously. While the occasional incident of a Bed Bug is possible in any hotel, we take strict preventative measures to prevent it from occurring. Some of our preventative measures include having the entire hotel inspected several times per month by our licensed extermination company. In addition, our... More
