We stayed at the beautiful Standard hotel in East Village a week ago. We would like to share some feedback. It was a great experience. One of the best vacations/hotel stays ever. Fantastic room, great service, complimentary super-nice bikes etc etc. We had no complaints just a great deal of fun. We will definitely come back next time in NYC.... More

I put my parents and my sister up at the "new" Standard East Village. They ended up moving out once they saw their rooms and their beds. The rooms are extremely poorly furnished with tiny little tables called furniture. Much much worse was the conditions of the mattresses. The pillow tops on both of their rooms and the rooms they... Dear Jim Thank you for taking the time to share your family’s experience at the hotel. At The Standard, East Village we strive to provide the highest levels of customer service. After speaking with the guests about their impressions of the property, we made sure to relocate them at the same rate, and pick up the charge for the night... More

Stayed partly for business and partly pleasure. The standard, formerly the cooper sq hotel, is a glass n steel high rise in the otherwise flat and charming grungy neighbourhood of Bowery and the East village. It's a nicely designed place as you'd expect from the Standard group. Lovely lounges with a Danish feel, large library of books for sale with... More

Checked into The Standard on Monday night. Had a long flight from, SF.. And was ready for some sleep. As soon as I pulled up, the caller had my things ad was shuttling me in from the cold. The man at the front desk quickly checked me in. When I told him I was sleepy and wouldn't be able to... More

Wanted to spend the weekend in the city for a friend's birthday and jumped at The Standard when it appeared on Jetsetter. We got the corner king room and the view did NOT disappoint. Outstanding views of the city and the bed was super comfortable. I loved that the bathroom floor was heated -- a nice touch as your getting... More

In a city where hotels compete over who has the most comfortable bed, this hotel wins! The mattress, linens, pillows and headboard combo were so well put together that the high point of my day was sinking into the bed with a good book! The nightstand/reading light/IPod station only completed the ensemble. My spotless room was furnished with well-made modern... More

I had a room upstairs on one of the upper floors. Great view onto the Village Voice offices across the way, gorgeous black bathrobes with hoods and a bed that sleeping on was akin to laying on a cloud. Had to pay for wifi- really Cooper Sq? in this day and age? Always a gripe of mine, and I missed... More

Great location but for people who know the city or who want a more Soho/Noho cool NY experience and not for someone who wants to go see CATS and take a horse and buggy ride in Central Park. Showers/bathroom are fantastic. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Rooms are very clean and very small but you're hardly in your room anyway! More... More

My wife and I chose this for our staycation last month (something we like to do every 2-3 months) for a night or two. We found a great deal for Christmas eve!! The room was small, comparatively but really liked the bathroom and the kiehls amenities! The views were amazing! sweeping view of the lower east side; and no one... More

Very trendy, which I like, great neighborhood, but room was tiny (and it was an upgrade) and very expensive. The staff was lukewarm. Attractive, but blase. The staff in the restaurant was attentive and personable, and the food was good, but uninspiring. Bottom line is you can get more for your money from equally trendy hotels, even in the same... More
