That is the only positive attribute of this tired old property. It is very close to the Sandburg House, and just a couple of blocks walk from a quaint row of shops. My husband & I stayed in Lakeview for our anniversary trip and had a great time. The family that owns the lodge is very friendly and helpful. The maid service was excellent. It is a quaint and charming place very close to the Flat Rock Playhouse and the Carl Sandburg House. More
