Located just outside the Capitol Reef National Park entrance, Skyridge Inn offers an overnight experience rather than just a place to sleep. Recognized in National Geographic Traveler for its service, magnificent views and artfully decorated rooms. Full breakfast is served every morning and continental style foods are available as well for those departing on early morning tours or hikes. Capitol Reef Outfitters is located on-site making it convenient for guests to book and depart directly for guided jeep tours, utv rentals, fly fishing trips and more.
Stayed for 2 nights. Great facility, excellent location and wonderful vista views. Clean and well managed by Shawn, the owner. Breakfasts were well prepared. Comfortable beds. Shawn also leads photo and fishing tours. His drone videos of the surrounding area on like watching a National Geographic show.

Absolutely beautiful! Can’t get better views anywhere else. It was super accommodating for our family of 5. The owner is amazing. We ended up having him take us on a sunset tour on one of the ATVs. He’s so knowledgeable about the area having owned an outfitter company for 21 years. Took us on a drive we could have never done ourselves. Wish we had more time to stay.

We stayed in the very nice Juniper Room (with balcony and nice views towards Capitol Reef NP). The property is quite new and very well kept and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast (you choose between 7:30 am or 08:00 am). The location on a small ridge outside Torrey couldn´t be better (but all the shops and restaurants are closeby). The bed was top quality. Next time I stay here I will not book directly anymore, but through booking.com, that has much better prices (150 US$ difference for a 2 night stay!). Normally I like to book direct, and the price is normally better when you book direct, but not here, even when the owner lowered the price a little bit.

Great place. Did not enjoy schlepping up almost two flights of stairs to get to our room but once we got up there it was great. The patio/deck with the big picture window open to the lovely Mountain View was terrific but needed some Dust removal. Breakfast— nice. Pretty average. Host was terrific.

My primary reason for giving this B&B a poor review is that the owner, Shawn, has 2 kittens living on his property that he is neglecting to care for. He considers them “outdoor animals” and fails to provide them adequate food, shelter or water. We stayed during freezing temperatures (teens at night) , and these kittens had no where to go to stay warm. They tried very hard to go inside and they begged for food, but Shawn was insistent on not letting them inside or feeding them. He told me to mind my own business when I questioned him about whether or not the kittens were being fed enough and had a warm place to sleep. He said several times that they’re “outdoor cars”, as if that’s an excuse to neglect them. My husband and I felt so badly for these sweet kittens (approx 6 months old) that we bought them each a can of cat food. They each gobbled the entire can of food without taking a breath. They are literally starving. Shawn doesn’t seem to care in the least, and his indifference about the welfare of these kittens was extremely upsetting. Other issues besides the horrible situation with the kittens, is that Shawn advertises on his website that all rooms have satellite tv, and this is NOT true. There is only streaming services available. Additionally, our room was very cold when we arrived and even after 2 hours, it was not warming up. We needed to call and get specific instructions from Shawn about how to adjust the settings on the heater to warm up the room. He didn’t leave any written instructions in the room. The bottom line is that while this B&B served a good breakfast and is convenient to Capital Reef Park, the mistreatment of the kittens on the property really soured our experience. If I could have, I would have taken the kittens with me. They deserve so much more than what Shawn is willing to give them. They are struggling just to survive. It’s hard to comprehend how an owner of a B&B could treat domesticated animals in such a terrible manner. I would never stay there again.…

Malicious guest review and simply not true! I'll save my time for more worthy reviews as we obviously care about our property and our outside animals very much.

Very relaxing visit. Drove in for one night. Not a lot of places to hang out in evening. Bed wasn’t our favorite but it worked for the night. Breakfast is great. Homemade breakfast sandwiches and fruit were the offerings for that morning. Wish we could have enjoyed the place more. Very cold when we were there and spent no time outside!

Great location with easy access to Capitol Reef National park. The views from the rooms and balcony are fabulous. This B&B lacks in amenities and comfort but is quiet and does offer a hearty breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at Skyridge Inn for two nights. We were excited to find a classic Bed and Breakfast! Skyridge is in the perfect spot! It has amazing views and it’s by itself so it’s quiet, private and relaxing. We loved our room…lots of space, very clean and comfortable after a long day of hiking. We woke up to fresh brewed coffee that we took out back to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! And I appreciate how easily they accommodate specific diets. One of my favorite things was being able to walk out of our private entrance to view the incredible night sky!

This Bed and Breakfast has potential to be an excellent place to stay. It is very close to Capitol Reef National Park and one can see it from the room. However, we booked and were not informed that the hotel is being remodeled. Our room was suppose to offer a jacuzi in the deck and there wasn't any. There is construction equipment all over, which kills the vacation vibe. I received a text from the property with instructions to contactless check in and in case I had questions I could call Shawn. I called but nobody answered and I never got a call back. On the other hand, when we arrived there was a note right at the front door with some instructions directly for me, which was thoughful. The breakfast system works well and everything tasted delicious.

Sky ridge B&B advertises itself as a good alternative to motels in the area, which it is. Is it okay? Yes. Is it great? Nah. The owners don’t appear to live there. They have a nice Hispanic couple cooking breakfast and cleaning the rooms. You are sent a form text instructing you how to check in and get keys. But if you try to call or text, there’s crickets. Not even many hours later. We were in the Tumbleweed room, which is a good size with outdoor seating. But the room was dim with only a couple of weak table lamps. One light near the daybed seating had no lightbulb. The towel racks were mismatched and one was nearly falling off. Maintenance on the place is overdue. The whole inn is geared towards churning guests and making profit.
