The rooms are fine, but unless you are fortunate enough to stay on those nights when dinner is served, you cannot get so much as a peanut to eat, nor anything but water out of the tap to drink between one breakfast time and the next. We pulled up to the house and it was surrounded by lush, green trees and had pastures with a creek and buffalo. They were doing some cement construction on the usual entry door, so we had to go around a ways to the front of the house to enter every time. A very nice lodge close to Capitol Reef National Park. The owner/staff were very friendly. We booked the "Chaparral" room on their website which was very charming although a bit small and dark. The lobby is one of the best features of the hotel, enourmous, lots of wood, looks great! We had an excellent dinner in the hotel itself. more
