My husband and I stayed here for 2 days while touring southern Utah. It's a nice play to stay in very scenic surroundings. They keep a small buffalo herd in a large, penned in area in front of the lodge and some horses in fields behind the house. Views from the ranch are gorgeous and it's relaxing to stroll around... more

My husband and I stayed here while exploring Capitol Reef National Park, which was amazing! The lodge feels like you're stepping back in time into a well-to-do ranch - rich leather, antiques, and classical music piped through the intercom system. We stayed in the Anasazi room with comfy king bed, fireplace and our own outdoor area. Ranch scenery was wonderful... more

I went to write a review on this property but couldn't find it on trip advisor until today. With my review added to the others, I don't think this lodge will get off to a good start. To begin, my husband and our two boys were on a two week trip through Utah in high season. My husband stays out... more

I stayed here for 1 night recently. My stay was OK but I witnessed what I believe was very poor treatment of other guests. On arrival the property seemed nice, beautiful location and lovely room. Was advised on check in that there were only 7 guests in total that night so I made a dinner reservation for around the same... more

We have received a number of complaints about our service and as a result have taken steps to improve our service both in the presence of guests and out of their presence. It is guests like this that help us to relize our shortcomings and try to improve where we have fallen short.

Although their website claims that you can hold a wedding at the Red River Ranch, two staff members we spoke with on the phone said weddings were "too much work." Also, we called four or five times and were never able to get ahold of the owner (as the staff had recommended), nor did the owner call us back. It's... more

The response this guest received was inappropriate and the guest had every right to be upset. For this we appologize. We do host weddings at the Lodge. However, due to past problems we require that the wedding party reserve the entire Lodge. This requirement does not always work for smaller weddings due to the cost involved. Past problems have resulted...

My husband always allows me to arrange our trips and put together the itinerary. On this "adventure vacation" to southern Utah, he asked that I book one day for him to just fish. I found this lodge on the website. From the pictures it looked perfect. When I click to the attractions, the site says there is "fly fishing" with... more

It is always disapointing to hear that a guest did not have a pleasant experience at the Lodge. We have always made an effort to inform potential guest of our check-in policy, cancellation policy, and fishing policy. Our e-mail confirmation details our check-in policy and cancellation policy (which is 21 days). Generally all fishing relatied questions are directed to the...

A disappointing experience. The rooms are fine, but unless you are fortunate enough to stay on those nights when dinner is served, you cannot get so much as a peanut to eat, nor anything but water out of the tap to drink between one breakfast time and the next. At night the place was like a mausoleum. The main lodge... more

We pulled up to the house and it was surrounded by lush, green trees and had pastures with a creek and buffalo. They were doing some cement construction on the usual entry door, so we had to go around a ways to the front of the house to enter every time. The Inn smelled great and had inviting, peaceful music... more

A very nice lodge close to Capitol Reef National Park. The owner/staff were very friendly. We booked the "Chaparral" room on their website which was very charming although a bit small and dark. The lobby is one of the best features of the hotel, enourmous, lots of wood, looks great! We had an excellent dinner in the hotel itself. more

We stayed 1 night when travelling between Moab and Bryce and would highly recommend a stay; if we lived in the USA its the kind of place we'd come for a weekend break to get away from it all. The Lodge has a wonderful entrance hall with large fireplace, comfy sofas and travellers magazines. The bedrooms are all different -... more
