Probably nicest place to stay in Manteo. Vicki was very nice and informative. We stayed in January so there wasn't much going on. Suite was nice and clean, pleasant view of sound. Bed was excellent. My criticism would be that on the third floor (don't know about others) the water pressure was somewhat low. The double hot tub took approximately... More

We have been staying at this inn on July 4th week-end for the past five years. Although a bit pricey, it is worth the money. The end is set back off the main road and it over looks the sounds. Very romantic and peaceful; you have your own priviate balcony in a beautiful suit, you will fall in love with... More

Weekend retreat at The Burrus House Inn was fabulous! Innkeeper, Vicki, was so very accomodating and helpful for tips on where to eat and proximity of local events. Also, she gave tour of Inn for future visits. The room was very spacious with the best view of the water and property. The "Jule Day" room, and all the other rooms,... More

Lovely room, ours was overlooking the sound. We loved sitting out on the porch watching the sun set over the water, even listening to the rain on the one stormy night we had. Comfortable bed, handy kitchenette. Vickie is a wealth of information about things to see and do on the Outer Banks, the best restaurants, etc. We will definitely... More

Without question my favorite place to go on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My professional schedule can get very hectic so the head clearing breaks are much needed. It's hard to describe the peaceful, quiet setting...there on the sound. Looking out over the water from your balcony is incredibly beautiful and romantic. For a place to go and relax...this... More

My wife and I were looking for a few days away in a quiet location convenient for a small town/village. We wanted ease of access to the Outer Banks. The Burrus House Inn delivered on all of our expectations. The location is ideal. The rooms are large and very well furnished throughout. The oversize bathroom provided a sense of luxury.... More

The views were spectacular. The Inn was warm and inviting, quiet and relaxing. The Inn location was easy to find and close to restaurants and attractions. The bed was comfortable and I slept better than I've slept in months. More

We really did not know what to expect when we booked the room, it was recommended by a friend. We walked in to the place at midnight. The classical music was playing the furniture and decor was impeccable and we LOVED the bathroom with it's oversized shower and sunken jacuzzi tub. We loved it the minute we walked in to... More

We just got back from another incredible stay on the Outer Banks. It was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to our innkeeper guiding us to great excursions and experiences. First of all, the Inn is a must stay for its charm and beautiful accommodations. The rooms are spacious, the view is breathtaking, and the attention to the guests is first class. My... More

My Husband and I decided to stay at this Inn because of the availability and the seclusion. We called to ask about prices and what was included, and were treated as an annoyance. When we finally got there, the room was beautiful, although they were still in the process of cleaning the room they showed us. The owner, offered us... More
