We booked this place through a discount website, not Tripadvisor. The rate was good and we were only going to be there from 9pm till the morning. We arrived, lined up and checked in and then were sent on a long hike to our room. We arrived in the dark, no exterior lights at our door, fumbled around till we... More

We recently stayed here for 3 nights during our San Diego trip. We booked a 2 queen suite in the separate building and had a view of the docks. The suite was perfect for out small children because they could hang out on the deck or in the living room. We were near the Einstein Bagels on the dock which... More

Our stay was most excellent in every way. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the room clean, the food delicious, and the grounds beautifully kept. We ate twice at the Red Marlin because we loved the food, and the staff was incredible. Our waiters were always nice to us and made wonderful recommendations. (We had the scallops both times....yummy!) We... More

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It's a beautiful property from the lobby to the pool to the restaurants and the incredible views! Book a room in the tower on a high floor! We booked the King Corner Suite and requested a high floor. We were on the 11th floor and we had amazing views! We enjoyed breakfast... More

Our first impressions were WOW. The location is beautiful unfortunately the staff not so. Service started well and friendly but soon turned sour. We moved from the bar to the fire pit and were abruptly told to wait until they had cleared the table and very little humor and helpfulness from that point on.

I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt downtown SD but wanted a change and to be closer to the water so this visit I booked here -- what a mistake!! Let me begin by saying that I always book rooms using my Travel Agent card for a better rate. This has served me well for close to 15 yrs now... More

This hotel is beautiful at first glance so why am I giving it low stars? Check in was frustrating, although you should know I was checked in by a trainee. I was told where my room was, and showed the map and then I attempted to find it. I had to go back into the lobby to be told by... More

Just got back from the most wonderful Birthday mini vacation in San Diego. We have stayed in San Diego many many times but usually in Old Town. This time we wanted to try something different. We chose the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, the Regency Club room. To be honest part of the reason we chose this hotel and the room... More

We stayed in a corner room in the towers which was very clean, nice and romantic. it over looked the Harbor of boats, was quiet and very comfortable. There is a great place to eat right on the Harbor below the hotel a few steps away. So close to everything and f in places within walking distance.

Hyatt Regency was a nice hotel. We stayed in the suites (not the Tower). Rooms were clean and very spacious. Parking is a little tough on the weekends, but some hidden underground parking was always available. Hotel is central to the marina and the beach. If you want to do some shopping or looking for food, you will need a... More
