Rang for hotel shuttle from SD airport to be told it would be ten minutes. It was, but by then a large family had also turned up to wait for it. When the shuttle arrived it couldn`t fit us all in and we, being British, allowed the family to go ahead and said we`d wait for the shuttle to return.... more

We stayed at the Hacienda on Sept 11, 2009. We have stayed here several times in the past. At check-in were told that there would be a daily parking fee of $12.95 per day (we were not charged for parking in our past stays). You could decline the parking fee but would have to search for parking in adjacent locations... more

We got this hotel for $135 for one night, the standard suite. Overall its not a bad hotel, got some character for Best Western chain. Definitely has the "Old Town" spanish influence. Its on a huge lot with the units towering over the hill. The room was a basic suite with a study area with the TV by the entrance... more

Wife and I stayed Friday Sept 4 2009 to be close to Old Town San Diego attractions and for San Diego Chargers final pre-season game. The hotel is attractive in traditional Spanish style. It is located on a hill overlooking the city, and is within easy walking distance of the entire Old Town area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Avoid the hotel restaurant. The food is mediocre, and here are many better restaurants in easy walking distance. more

Old Town is splendid for so many reasons: great restaurants & shops; close to the trolleys--if you want to venture out of Old Town to other areas. Best Western Hacienda is pretty nice--in the heart of Old Town! Excellent location for Old Town restaurants and sites. Hotel is lovely, old mexican style. Pool just lovely too. The 800 building although at the front was excellent spot. Would not hesitate to book there again. You won't be disappointed. more
