I stayed here for several days while at a convention when I could not get into the hotel booked by my group. the location in terms of access to food--many wonderful restaurants within 2 blocks. The hotel itself had both pros and cons; depends on your needs/ability to sleep through noise. The room was very modern--cool yet one might find... More

If you want a quiet night in, probably not for you. Great location if you want to be in the middle of all the action. Happy to help staff. Wonderfully decorated rooms, very modern. Not for kids, No doors around shower which was fun but a little drafty. Water pressure definately could have been better. Espresso machine in room was... More

I really liked this hotel! In San Diego for a conference but was too late to get a room at one of the show hotels situated on the waterfront. So I got stuck at the Keating. Great staff. Great room! Cool rooms. Free wifi. Rainfall shower head. In the perfect location for resturaunts and shopping. Fantastic scones delivered to your... More

I can honestly say that I have never stayed in such a terrible hotel. The noise level from the nearby bar prevented any thoughts of a good night's sleep. The rude reception staff found it surprising that I would be concerned about the noise. The interior of the room resembled that of a prison cell and the open shower ensured... More

I loved this hotel, staff, location, food, ect. My only complaint is the street noise. The windows are old and need to be upgraded to doubled pane glass; if not triple. So if you are easily bothered by outside noise or are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. More

Loved the vibe of this hotel, had a very slick urban feel that would be appreciated by design aficionados. Yes, it was fairly noisy on the 4th floor overlooking the street, but to be expected in an entertainment district and it added to the overall vibe. Check in was very friendly and personalised. Loved the real espresso machine in the... More

The hotel itself was clean and the bed was very comfortable, however what good is the comfort of the bed if all you can hear starting at 9 or so is the very very loud music from down below, and you cannot fall asleep. There is a pub right next door. Drums beating actually vibrated the bed. We did move to... More

The Keating is a beautiful hotel in a great location with helpful, friendly staff. Everyone went out of their way to ensure that I had a great stay and I even found myself spending time chatting to the desk staff instead of going back to my room, which is always nice when you're traveling alone. As someone who like to... More

This hotel was great on most accounts - clean, amazingly helpful and friendly staff, great amenities in the room (flatscreen TV, bose sound system, espresso machine), prime location in the heart of the gaslamp... however, based on the room i stayed in, this isn't the best hotel for friends or family. The room is designed so that the shower has... More
