This hotel was just like described clean,but cozy quarters. The service of staff was friendly,helpful, very knowledgeable of area. The rooms are clean,small,and yes,air conditioner is close to bed. We stayed at the Dolphin Motel for 2 nights during our honeymoon and we loved it. The room was small but clean. Who stays in the room the whole day? The banana-nut muffins in the morning were lovely and the coffee was tasty too. Staff was helpful and the owner like your best friend! We would definitely stay there again.... more

The staff is so helpful. Room is not fancy at all, bed wasn't comfortable, room was small... but it has everything you need: shower, bed, refrigerator, AC, etc. Besides, WHO CARES what the room is like when youre in San Diego.
