Doubletree in Del Mar has a great pool / jacuzzi - My room was located on the first floor with a view of the pool area. Although I was here on business, I felt like I was at a resort in Hawaii. We paid more than we wanted to when we booked this hotel. On arrival we ended up with a king size and a pull out sofa - not what we booked. Stayed here 2 nights and explored Del Mar. Great location, clean rooms, missed having a flat panel tv though. Breakfast buffet was OK, lots of choices. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Just a short drive down the road and you are at Torrey Pines too. Make sure you check out Solana Beach as well.... more

We were very impressed with this hotel. It was located in a very nice area and so close to the beach. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. After a long day at Sea World and the beach, our family relaxed in the hotel's very nice pool and hot tub. We will definitely stay again the next time we go... more

You can tell this hotel has changed ownership. It is the little things that are getting neglected. I still love the location and still love the hotel, the pool is the best. But it is not worth the price anymore. more
