The amazing part of Humphreys is the major stage for concerts located on the property overlooking the bay. Big name celebrities from the past do shows here. What a great entertainment venue but if you had a room near the stage and you did not like the music that may be a problem for some. More

We stayed here for two nights in February and would gladly stay here again. Its an older hotel but does not have the "musty" smell some older ones do. Our room had been recently renovated and was clean an comfortable from top to bottom. Prices were reasonable but what I liked most was the atmosphere when we walked along the... More

We stayed at the Half Moon Inn after attending a concert at the fabulous Humphrey's venue. The price was good, the room was spotless (it's an older property but nicely renovated). The rooms on the marina are bright and offer splendid views. Walk out the door and you can wander along the marinas watching the boats of all sizes, incl... More

I went to a concert recently and spent the night at the hotel, which was a real convenience. My room was great - cozy with a beautiful slate bathroom floor and a king sized bed. There were shutters on the window leading out to a little patio with two chairs facing the pool gardens. Everything was great until I got... More

Thank you for your recent visit with us. We're happy to hear that most of your experience at Humphreys was pleasant, except for the mattress liner. Due to valuable feedback from guests such as yourself, we have since removed all of the waterproof liners from all mattresses. We truly appreciate your comments and hope to see you on your next... We have stayed at the Half Moon before and were facing the marina. This time we chose to face the bay and the Marine Air Station. What a treat to wake up and open the shades to fine the morning sun greeting us. The room was clean, the staff responsive and helpful, and the food was excellent. When we go... More

This is a fine resort (really a motel on steroids), that has beautiful grounds, a good restaurant, and is right across from the marina on one side and a beach (although not one of San Diego's best) on the other. A great place if you like to bicycle (I believe the hotel will lend you one). Great for kids. The... More

We had reserved a suite facing the garden but, when we arrived, the hotel was not full. The staff member gave us an upgrade to a suite facing the marina. We got it at a great sale price. The suite is not lavish but it is roomy, everything worked great, beds comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out for a... More

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Had a suite by the pool. The room was big and the beds are comfy. It is not very sound proof so be prepared to hear the people at the pool or the kid next door. Never had a good experience with the operator when calling the hotel, found them to be rude. The... More

Stayed for 4 nights (2 adults and 3 teenagers). Booked 2 standard rooms with queen beds with an original booking request for adjoining rooms, somehow this got changed to adjacent rooms on the booking invoice. When I collected my room keys I was told they were adjacent rooms but this turned out not to be so. I was told the... More

In 2000 we toured California and Nevada on honeymoon and San Diego was our last base. Could not have chosen a better spot, hotel rooms were pretty good, not the best we had on the trip but nothing to moan about in the slightest. What makes this is the location, the restaurant, the marina and the concerts. We just missed... More
