We booked a Double room in this hostel over 3 months in advance, so you can imagine our surprise when we were allocated a room with bunks....... no cost difference at all. The staff told us this was a twn room, now i know americans don't speak perfect english but a twin and a bunk room are vastly different propositions.... more

I've stayed at this hostel a number of times over the past 3 or 4 years and I have nothing but praise for it. Compared to the cramped and noisey downtown hostel, this is paradise. Very clean and spacious in a nice quiet part of San Diego. Good bus connections, and not an epic walk to the beach. more

This hostel is very good. However, the location isnt the best for sightseeing in San Diego. Its located a 15 min bus ride outside downtown San Diego.
