Location, location, location. That's what the Midtown has going for it. Definitely worth checking out for parents with students at the schools along Huntington Ave. Right across the street from Symphony Hall and a block from Jordan Hall and BU/Huntington Theater. 2 blocks from the Pru. When we stayed, it wasn't cheap... but it was significantly cheapER than the other...

A convenient to most everything in downtown Boston hotel, the Midtown offers the budget travelor just about everything they could want. About a 10 minute or less walk to the Copeley Square area.
Highlights include:
** A NO SMOKING HOTEL

I've never written a review for TripAdvisor before but a stay at The Midtown Hotel warrants a comment. I wont dwell on the little things like smelly corridors, dated furnishings, noisy springs in the bed etc..
I do however expect one basic thing of a hotel room... a door that actually locks. I asked twice for our room door to...

There can only be two reasons for anyone to stay at the Midtown Hotel in Boston. One if you are affiliated with the Christian Science Church, it's directly across the street. The other reason is if you are unable to get any other hotel reservation in Boston.
The hotel was charging the same as other major hotels during a meeting...

Physically this hotel is quite basic, but it has clean rooms, parking and a pool in summer. The location is truly great, we walked to everything or got the 'hop-on, hop-off' trolley. The staff at the Hotel are very well trained and are courteous and accommodating. The hall ways could do with an update, but I would still highly recommend...

Came to Boston in September when dropping my daughter off at Berklee College of Music. The location was perfect for us as it was a pretty walk thru the Christian Science Church complex and their beautiful reflecting pool. At first we were a little put off by the status of the hallways. But we left early one morning and by...

I stayed at the Midtown twice over the last few weeks; first on business (when my usual Boston hotel, the Marriott Copley was sold out) then the second when we returned this past weekend to enjoy the city. I'm excited that I found a lower price alternative which gave me extra money to spend on shopping, sightseeing, and dinner.

I can only mirror whats already been said, fantastic location from which to explore Boston, not the most luxurious hotel, but clean, rooms are spacious and the service was good. Once the facelift and decorating is finished it will leave little to complain about - there was a very strange vending machine in one corridor from which you could get...

The Midtown Hotel may not be the most luxurious in Boston, but its location makes it an ideal base for enjoying a city which can easily be explored on foot. My room was well appointed and allowed me three good nights' sleep. My only criticism was that you have to pay for internet connection.
