The house itself is extremely beautiful, and is located in a nice neighborhood of Boston. I walked myself back from the subway at 10pm and still feel as safe as I could be. The property is around five minutes walk from the subway station so you need not to worry about how to get around. The host is extremely helpful... More

Location is excellent, our room was charming and clean. Breakfast arrangements were a very simple serve-yourself set-up, which suited us but may not be everyone's cup of tea. Host was very helpful both before and during our stay.

Such a great house, one cannot help but imagine its history. I loved the wooden floors and the staircase. The artwork on the walls was varied and interesting adding to the charm. Yes the plumbing needs updating and don't stay here if you want ensuite bathroom but everything was clean and I felt comfortable walking around on the rugs without... More

We were in Boston for the first time for a weekend together. The location cannot be beat. It is a 5 minute walk to the Prudential Center and Boylston Street and Fenway was only a 15 minute walk. The subway is also very close by. As for the house, it definitely has old charm but needs some updating. The carpets... More

It's a great value considering that hotels and B&B in Boston are so expensive. The location is great. You can walk to the Prudential T in about 10 minutes. From there you can get anywhere in the city. It's in a good area. The owner will go out of his way to help you find a parking spot (for free)... More

We had a great stay at the Rutland Square House in Boston. The B&B is located quite central, near the Prudential center close by Boston Downtown. The owner is very nice. We easily could reserve the room by email and without any deposit. By our arrival he welcomed us and recommend us a lot of nice places in Boston. The... More

This B&B is an excellent option for people looking for affordable lodging with some character. The location is great -- beautiful street, near lots of good restaurants, short walk to the Prudential, Huntington, etc., and felt very safe. The owner is very nice, although I didn't see much of him, and felt free to come and go as I pleased.... More

The house is nice, but it has the potential to be much nicer if better maintained. The rooms are clean, just worn down and outdated. We just wanted a place to stay, and it was perfect for that. The owner is also very nice. It is a good deal considering the cost of local hotels. Just don't expect anything fancy... More

Me (20) and my girlfriend (18) stayed at Rutland Square House for 7 nights in August 2009. Our trip's purpose was shopping and we wanted a place to stay located centrally in Boston. And that we got! Rutland Square House is about 4-5 min walk over to Prudential Center. All the time we were we didn't once take a cab.... More
