There is a lot to like about this hotel. Location, cleanliness, great staff, well decorated rooms and bathrooms. I love that the sheets and towels smell as though they came from my home dryer. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room boasts unique storage solutions. What I didn't like was initially being given a room in the basement but... more

Location of this hotel can't be beat. It's within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and landmarks. The room was clean and spacious. Get to the lobby early for their breakfast foods (muffins, bagels, fruit & coffee) or you will miss it. Only small thing to mention was the noise of other guests in the hallway ---walls are thin. more

The location was excellent, the room was fine. It was so noisy we had to check out. Guests partying in the halls in the middle of the night, no night manager on duty, doors slamming, staff yelling from 1 AM to 6:15 AM. We got 2 hours' sleep. My idea of hell - another night at the Charlesmark. Too bad... more

We stayed at this "boutique" hotel on a recent visit one-night visit to Boston. The location is wonderful near many restaurants, stores, churches, markets and the hustle and bustle of crowds. I thought the room was somewhat pricey for the size but the place was immaculate and quite comfortable. The staff were polite and accessible. Our room was on the... more

A comfortable hotel, in what seems to be a trendy area of Boston (Back Bay), just steps from subways, buses and Copley Square. Also very close to plenty of shopping and dining options. The room was clean and cozy, with simple, modern decor - great for one or two people. There was one double bed, a very nice bathroom (shower... more

Great location, couldn't have asked for more! Good value, in an expensive city this is a definite find. Nice room, very clean.....but really dark at night, I'm all for mood lighting but lets's have the option of turning it up when you actually need to find something! Didn't bother with breakfast so can't comment. more

We booked two nights there and where very disappointed! The first room (#403) we where offered was small, dark and very noisy, as it was right above some ac fans! The second room (#603) was a bit better as it was on the 6th floor - but still noisy - no streetnoise - but ac or generator - right outside... more

First trip to the US and booked hotel online as read Trip Advisor feedback. Charlesmark was in a great location. We walked throughout Boston from the hotel but could easily have taken the 'T' located across the street. Close to shops, restaurants and the Freedon Trail. Excellent service from reception, good continental breakfast in the bar area and free tea/coffee... more

I stayed in this cute little place for only one night but would definitely go back. I chose it because of the price and proximity to my daughters place and it was a delight. The rooms are very small but well appointed, clean and quiet. It has windows you can actually open to enjoy the cool breeze! The location can't... more
