This suited us well as it was a walk to everything including the Metro. James is a charming host and spent an hour telling us about Boston and what to see. The breakfast arrangements are as described and more continental in style. The bed was excellent as was the ensuite. Our room was at the top of two flights of... More

I have been meaning to write this review ever since our trip in March 2013, and have now been prompted by a recent less than favourable review that I have just read. My husband and I stayed for a special occasion at the Gilded Lily and from the booking process to our departure things could not have been better. The... More

We stayed five nights over the Boston marathon at the Lily. This was our third time in Boston and we had read rave reviews about the Gilded Lily. Arriving, we were a bit early so, having been given a four digit code to enter the townhouse, we dropped our bags and returned later. As our code permitted us to come... More

Delightful B&B with real "neighborhood" feel. Great "mom and pop" restaurants and bakery within easy walk. Charming neighborhood with walking/bike trail at the end of the street. Room was QUIET with relaxed feel. Owner is as accessible as one needs, and interactions with other guests are as minimal as one desires - with a kitchenette to collect or prepare breakfast... More

Clean, staircase was so hard with luggage and the 'Boys' certainly did not offer. It states that their is a Garden but it can only be accessed from there private home. Very clean but not veru friendly. I would give it 2 out of 10 but I'm sure others would view it differently. Btw. The smell of dog was a... More

Really great place to stay while you take advantage of the delights of a wonderful city. Great location. Made me want to live in Boston. The owner of this B&B couldn't have been more helpful in helping us navigate our five days in Boston. The room was just lovely and very comfortably accommodated my husband, my 15 year old daughter,... More

This was our second visit to Boston, our first being at this time last year. We’d vowed that, when – not if – we returned, our first concern would be that we could be accommodated at The Gilded Lily. It is simply the best and again proved to be the icing on the cake of yet another great few days... More

I stayed in October,2012 when I was in Boston for a conference. Compared to a hotel, the cost is reasonable , considering the excellent location, nice rooms and the parking space that I reserved at additional cost (worth it). I was able to walk to everything during my stay in Boston. The room was very nice and comfortable. The proprietor... More

The other reviews have it right! A top-notch place to stay -- comfortable and well situated! The Garden room -- which is cozy and beautiful -- has a very comfortable bed. The outlet in the bathroom is a bit hard to find. But there is indeed one there -- it's on side of the wall to the right of the... More

We just returned from spending a week in Boston staying at The Gilded Lily. The reviews posted on TripAdvisor are correct in stating that this is really the best place to stay in the city. The Gilded Lily boasts convenient public transportation, a 10 minute walk to the Hynes Convention Center, amazingly clean rooms, extremely comfortable bedding and with a... More
