I stayed there for one night with my boyfriend and a friend of ours. For sure, the price is good considering the fact that your close to the Fenway, to the bus/metro and the center of town. The bed are ok ... but the bathroom ... I cannot believe that students are actually living in those rooms during the year... More

Stayed at the hostel alone for a week. Right down the street from a drug store and subway. Took the subway all over Boston, found the location convenient and I thought it was cool to see the huge line around the block for the Sox game. Upon check-in I was told my room was not ready and I needed to... More

It was a good, nice and quiet stay right around the corner from Berklee School of Music. More

Attended a 3 day conference for doctors, and the hostel provided an awesome (read: affordable) place to stay. It's a converted old Boston University dorm, and the rooms are old, but they're NOT dirty, and the rest of the provisions (sheets, blanket, towels) are standard fare for hostels, which is to say they're fine so long as you can live... me and my friend stayed at this hostel just right before 1 week ago. we've been to Boston while the weekend. but it was not that easy to find a good accomodation because Boston's hotel price was quite expensive. but we were both student, so we decided to stay at the hostel. but we didn't want to stay at the... Good location - very close to the Kenmore T station so it was convenient to get in and out of the centre. If you're looking to watch the Red Sox play during your stay, this is a great place to stay! We got back fairly late a few times during the stay, but felt pretty safe on the walk from... More

The location is great; steps to the subway, Kenmore Square,Fenway Park. A pleasant walk to Newbury Street shops. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The rooms are large, clean, and have new beds and sheets (carpets and tiles need repairs). They convert this place from dorm to hostel each summer, so it feels a little bare. But the staff is... This is simply the best hostel I've ever been in! Everything is nice and in great shape. Only 3 people per room, and every room has a dresser, desk, closet, and private bathroom w/ bathtub. This is the only hostel I've ever been in where they provided soap and cups! You're basically staying in a dorm that kids pay a... More

Above post is probably from when it was still a HOJOs-- Boston Universityrecently turned this into a dorm for the school year, and it's a hostel during the summer so I am sure conditions have improved. Probably pretty basic- it is a dorm!- but a great location for visitors on a budget! More
