For $60 a night you shouldn't expect too much. The Asheville Guest House isn't luxurious but it is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from town and a good cheap option where other Asheville B&Bs are quite expensive. The room was clean and we were given lots of clean towels. The shared bathrooms are a bit worn and shabby.... More

Hot Shower / Good Pressure Comfy Beds Clean Floors Nice Owner Locking Bedroom Doors It's always a good idea to bring earplugs to a hostel. Another reviewer mentioned the heat. You can close the heat vent and use the box fan if you get too hot. I reccomend staying here if you are into hostels.

My daughter and I enjoyed the twin bed room, next to the kitchen but quiet and warm. It was so warm that we had to open the window and then the window rattled (it was windy that night) but that was the only negative thing about our two-night stay. The manager BJ was very helpful and the other quests were... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in March. Great mountain biking trails are only 20 minutes away. Downtown is only a 5-10 minute walk. Manager highlighted the local hotspots and gave me a map. Made a mistake a booked one night too few but the manager was excellent and the day I was supposed to 'check-out' he called me and asked... More

The hostel is in a fantastic location two blocks of the 'main' street in Asheville, in a quiet residencial street. It is slightly more expensive than competing hostels, but for $10 more you get a private room, ( they have no dorm rooms) in a location that the other hostels cannot compete with. The beds were well made with clean... More

The Asheville Hostel and Guest House was the perfect choice for my girlfriend and I. If you are a down to earth, simple and practical person that enjoys a friendly atmosphere while at home and while away from home this is the perfect spot. There were 2 other couples staying there and we hardly noticed. One even played the piano... More

Prior to this trip I had never stayed at a hostel before, and I am a very difficult sleeper so I went into this with much apprehension; however, it was a great experience! My friend and I stayed in 28 ravenscroft drive (the hostel has 2 properties on the same road). The house was clean and BJ was very friendly... More

I honestly can't compare to other hostels, but I had a nice experience here. Location is top notch, as we we were walking distance from the downtown area. The rooms were simple yet clean. There is a big sense of community, and interesting people to share stories with in the living room. The "rules" are easy to follow: basically, take... More

Great place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, accommodations were fantastic for the price, and the location is so convenient for anything downtown. The house was clean and felt like home. Would definitely stay here next time we're in Asheville.
