My boyfriend and I were looking for an affordable place to stay in Asheville for one night, just to attend a concert and drive back the next day. Neither have us had been to the city before, so we had no idea what to expect. The hostel was SO MUCH MORE than anything we could have expected for that price.... More

The hostel is in an awesome location - super easy to walk anywhere, we didn’t need our car to explore at all! BJ was very friendly and provided us with a detailed map and directions to just about everything that we would need. The hostel has a few rooms so sharing the bathroom was never an issue. Everything was really... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the "bungalow" in the back of the hostel in March 2012-- complete with full size bed, small bathroom, kitchenette. Although quite small, it was the perfect home base for us to explore Asheville and the surrounding areas. The bed was comfy and we slept like rocks. Pleasant staff, affordable pricing. Easy parking right next... More

This was a great location - once I arrived in Asheville, I parked my car and didn't move it again until I left. It's an older house, but everything was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect to stumble back to late night and was just what I needed it to be for this trip. I would recommend it to... More

My friend and I stayed three nights at this hostel, and it was our first hostel experience. At first, we were skeptical, but it turned out to be a very clean, and safe environment. We stayed in a two person/queen bed room in building 28. It was a little small, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable, but aside from that,... More

What a nice night in groovy downtown Asheville. We could walk everywhere. BJ gave a great tour of the city and map for the local in the know places, and we walked to the orange peel 3 blocks away and didn't have to drive late night. Great bed, clean, comfortable. Walls were a little thin for adult fun. More

Was skeptical at first but this place was awesome, everything was close to downtown a pub straight across the driveway. Private room, clean and comfortable, bed was amazing. Definitely didn't substitute value or price. Would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay again. More

I really loved staying at the Asheville Hostel and Guest House. It is a great location, very quiet and safe and close to downtown. BJ was very patient with us when we came in late due to traffic and other travel issues. I would definitely recommend it. More

I go to a lot of shows at the Orange Peel venue in Asheville, NC and have stayed at this hostel multiple times. It is a short walk from the venue the rest of downtown. Friendly staff, clean comfortable beds, and wi-fi all for around $25 a person. I highly recommend the Asheville Hostel will continue staying there for events. More

They are more than a typical hostel. Clean private rooms with (2) shared baths to accomidate various types of travelers within 5 minutes walking distance of downtown Asheville happenings. Ok, so the TV didn't work (static) and I didn't eat any free make yourself pancakes, but I did enjoy a quiet stay. I did have to call upon arrival within... More
