We have been riding the Big South Fork National Forrest for year now. We mostly stay at Bandy Creek Campgrounds in Oneida, TN. The campgrounds are very clean and spacious! The bathhouses are roomy, great water pressure and warm! The only down fall is your horses are about 3/4 of a mile away at the stables. The stables are starting... More

The location is quiet and peaceful, away from any towns. Being away from the lights of town makes the stars look twice as bright as they are from where we live. The camp sites are very spacious and the bath houses are well kept. Do take hand soap if you plan to use the bath house, it's not supplied. They... More

Bandy Creek Campground Loop A was our destination. Site A20 is shady for all late afternoon/evening, sunny between 9-2pm. Site 15A was bright with sun at 7 am for early risers. Other neighbors weren't so bright so early. Note that the left side of the loop A is west and sun sets behind trees to allow for nice cool down... More

This was our first trip to Bandy Creek Campground. We took our horses and stabled them at Bandy Creek Stables. The campground was very nice and clean, and all of the park staff were very friendly. The bathhouses were clean and very unique. The stables were also nice and we loved the trails, even saw a mama bear and cub... More

Have tent camped at Bandy Creek several times. We are hikers and enjoy the proximity to some wonderful hikes in the Big South Fork area. We were impressed by how large and shady the sites are. While tent campers can pitch a tent on any site in the campground, there is a special loop dedicated for tent camping which is... More

Bobby Gene and Gretta York provide first class service at Bandy Creek Stables in the Big South Fork Wilderness Area. The trails are the best maintained trails we've encountered. Sand is added to eliminate slippery conditions after a rain. Some creeks have smooth concrete areas for crossing. The western approach is much easier when hauling a horse trailer. The eastern... We travel to Bandy Creek twice a year with our horses for a week each trip. We love the campground, the stables and the entire experience at Big South Fork. The campground is clean with excellent facilities. Bobby Gene & Gretta do a great job managing the stables, and their facilites are also first rate. We have camped many places... More

The Bandy Creek Campground in the Big South Fork NRA has nice, large campsites that are well shaded for the most part. The drawback for some folks will be that it does not have full hook-ups (does have water and electric). Also, people should be aware that the campground is up on top of a mountain, and you have to...
