my boyfriend were passing through on a road trip, so we only stayed one night. we chose cedar pass, because it was the only campground that i could find in (or right next to) the badlands that had showers. this is a campground so take into consideration that the floors in the showers and bathroom are going to be dirty.... After a long day in the Badlands, we stayed in cabin 19. There was a double and a single bed. The cabins is from the late 1930s. The room was small, there was almost no space for the luggage. The beds were very soft. But the room was spotless clean, the bathroom too. As there is no TV or Internet,... More

Everything I read came true. My wife asked me to check to see if we could check in early (2:15 pm). I was told to come back at 3:00 pm. Room was very old and screens were held together with staples. Room was decorated in the 1920's and they have added a shower, an AC unit and new bedspread and... More

The cabins at Cedar Pass Lodge (run by the National Park Service) are in a great location for exploring Badlands National Park. We were up at sunrise and on a hiking trail within 15 minutes. That said, the accommodations themselves were only adequate. The bed was comfortable enough, but the bathroom was very small and the shower head was too... More

When we travel to national parks, we typically stay in the park. We do this so that we are "close to the action" and don't waste time commuting to the park. We have stayed in many lodges, and know not to expect the ritz when we stay in a lodge. Cedar Pass, however was really below our expectations. The cabins... More

This is a very unique place in a breathtaking environment, right in the middle of Badlands National Park. The hotel consists of a few dozens of cottages with basic but acceptable standard, I would say about 2-star motel quality. There are cottages of different sizes with one, two, or three rooms. They are clean and spacious and provide everything you... More

A Lovely Little Cabin is a stretch--I was shocked when we pulled up out front even though I'd seen the pics and debated the wisdom of it with my husband. Until we walked in. We both were charmed with the cozy proportions, and, yes, it was much bigger (and clean) when we entered. The wind whipped around a bit outside... More

We spent the night at the Cedar Pass Lodge in The Badlands National Park. These are very rustic cabins within the park. There is no TV, no phone and no fancy restaurant but the view and quiet are worth doing without. The cabins are not new but well maintained and clean. We had 2 full size beds and a bathroom.... More

We often stay in National Park facilities and these cabins were fairly typical and a good value in an excellent location. They are small and I had to defrost the air conditioner when we first arrived, but it worked out to be a wonderful experience. It is not the Ritz but that is not why we came to the Badlands.... More

The lodging is really poor at Cedar Pass Lodge, which should be renamed cabins. The "lodge" is the gift shop/store and restaurant. We had a cabin with a double bed and a twin. You can hardly move around in it. The bathroom is totally outdated- there isn't even any tile in it. The bedspreads and linens- all of it, think... More
