The hotel has a magnificent setting in a bend in the Colorado River with great 360 views. All of my family (including teenagers and young adults) found it to be a beautiful place although it is about 25 - 30 minutes from shops and restaurants in Moab (we had the whitewate rafting company pick us up at the hotel as... more

Although a little overpriced, the rooms and the views they offer are simply unmatched in Moab. The pool (and mist cabana) was great on those 100 degree Moab afternoons. The staff(especially the horse wranglers and spa) were truly great. At $490 a night , it is definitely overpriced, but there is nothing else like it in the Moab area. The... more

We stayed here for 4 nights on a 3 week vacation. The location really is fabulous - by the Colorado river and settled in amongst the canyons along the 128. Although 17 miles from Moab, we knew this before we went there so were not worried and it only takes 30 minutes to get to Moab for restaurants, shops and... more

The uncomfortable chairs on the river-facing rooms were unusable given the infestation of wasps and spiders. The wide bars on the fencing of this 2nd floor room prevented the promised riverview (when seated) for which a premium was added to the resort cost. Breakfasts were inedible: the included breakfast offered prepackaged croissants and packaged bread of poor quality. To the kitchen's... more

We booked here on our way out to Boulder from the Bay Area the morning of our arrival (after calling 8 others smaller places which had no availability). Room was very expensive --- they charged over $500 including taxes for the one room available. Beautiful location...no doubt about it. Friendly staff, too. Dinner at casual restaurant was quite good with... more

The location is absolutely stunning, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in two rooms, one with a front porch facing the mesas and one with the back porch facing the Colorado. Both rooms were gorgeous, but the back porch room had a fabulous tub. The whole atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. I do... more

My wife and I stayed at the Sorrel Ranch as part of a trip put together by Western River Adventures. We don't generally stay at a place this fancy but were pleased with the service. The food was great, we had the buffet breakfast and Dinner and it was outstanding. more

good point: the really nice place: in the middle of nowhere. The area is peaceful and beautiful. Your feel a little cow boy in you. you do not have enough of your two eyes to admire and dream. And your are not too far from the activities of Moab (17 miles , good road) But certainly overpriced. The basis room... more

We didn't stay at the inn but ate at their restaurant. It was very good with all aspects handled as a high end city restaurant and that includes the high price. If you're looking for a special dining place in Moab, this is it. more

First of all, if you haven't seen Moab, it is gorgeous and worth a trip. The setting of Sorrel could not be more beautiful. It sits right on the Colorado River with stunning views of the burnt, red mountains surrounding the resort. The massive red, stone formations are particularly beautiful where the resort is. The resort is a remarkably beautiful... more
