Even though I live in San Francisco, I've stayed here frequently when my endless remodeling projects are making me crazy. It's a nice small hotel with a friendly staff and free parking. Parking in some parts of San Francisco can be challenging, to put it mildly.* The rooms aren't that big but they're nice. This three story building doesn't have... More

I travel a lot through Europe and the States, and I this is by far the most disgusting place I have been. The location in Civic Center area is cheaper than others because it can't get a little dangerous at night, as there is a big number of homeless people around, some of them of the not-so-kind type. However, that... More

Outside of the vagabond is a decent neighborhood and a modest building, but for the value the vagabond inn has everything you need in a clean, well furnished and comfortable room. The rooms are small but have just enough space for a comfortable stay and ours included a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, etc. I... More

This place was a perfect end to our trip. We spent two nights here before flying back to Miami, and enjoyed it very much. LOCATION: PERFECT! They had the best rate in town, and it included FREE PARKING!! Walking distance to food, and sightseeing places. It's the middle of Downtown San Francisco so we saw a few bums walking around,... We stayed for a night, and found a low- standard motel, worn and unattractive, inside and outside. The neighbours sex life came into our room, loudly, screaming and knocking in the roof, That was very uncomfortable with minors present. Because we got the two last rooms we had to pay double price for the night in relation to prices stated... More

Ohhh myyy Goodness! Finally we found a place that doesn't charge additional for parking. The last several hotels we stayed at charged an arm and a leg for parking. The Holiday Inn couple blocks away charged $35 for parking plus tax per night! No Thank you! I'm so grateful that this hotel doesn't charge for parking, as no hotels shouldn't.... More

There was such a noice in the room that we couldn't asleep, toilette didn't work, hotel staff was also terrible and there weren't enough park places. Absoluttely no value for the money we paid. Location was awfull - homeless on every corner and terrible smell

Mother and college-grad son needed 2 queen beds and onsite parking, not something easily found in San Francisco on a budget! Our rates (online booking on the Vagabond site) were quite a bit lower than any other hotel I'd seen. We were using the hotel as base camp for apartment hunting. The location is easy to get in and out... More

My family and I traveled to the city of San Francisco for spring break. When we arrived we were greeted by a pleasant young man. After checking into our rooms, I naturally had questions regarding the city. The young man was incredibly helpful and went out of his to make sure we had a great experience. Anyone can tell you...
