It is downtown and convenient for all the tourist destinations. All the cable cars, and public transport. However its extras leave alot 2 be desired. more

Stayed at the Cathedral Hill the beginning and end of a trip to the West Coast. Hotel well situated and well serviced. It's the last week of being a hotel though so everything slowly closing - gift shop, restaurant etc. Amazed that the staff were so helpful and obliging - it's now going to become a hospital. more

Although the Hotel staff is nice the entire place is run down. We were told the hotel would be closing and either torn down or turned into a hospital. The rooms were kept clean but rugs were sstained and thee was a coffe pot in the room but n refrigerator. in order to avoid walking up a ramp to get... more

We had booked 2 rooms for the week. We checked in & were given 2 rooms next to each other with an adjoining door - which was a nice touch. Rooms were bright & spacious and bathrooms functional and clean. There was a coffee-filter machine which we didn't use, and an iron & board in the cupboard. Internet was also... more

I quite liked this hotel, though we did get a free upgrade to a suite, so that probably influenced my opinion. The suite was HUGE! It had a bedroom with bed, TV, loveseat, and bathroom; then another, bigger room with a couch, 2 armchairs, a dining table that seated 6, a side table with barstool, a kitchenette, and another bathroom.... more

This hotel appeared to be one of the few left with rooms during the dates of my business trip. check-in was quick but a bit odd as they only had us down for one room when we had booked two through getaroom.com. They managed to find us another room and we were both booked into exterior rooms on the 4th... more

The room was very comfortable. A bit on the tight side between the foot of the bed and the TV cabinet, but the desk/sitting area was quite adequate. The room was clean and kept that way for the balance of my three-night stay. The wireless Internet is with AT&T, so my access was free as an AT&T wireless customer. The... more

Located on the edge of a rough neighbourhood (The Tenderloin). Might not be safe to be on foot near the hotel late at night. The room could barely be considered clean - lots of strange stains on the carpet. No Internet of any kind. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. I only stayed here because it was part... more

hotel was rather nice inside. clean. front desk at check-in could have been more pleasant but i've gotten use to the lack, or requirement of social skills, courtesy. room was small, noisey and on the street side, didn't sleep much. next time i'll request courtside if i choose this hotel again?. parking 20 bucks extra, no continental breakfast unless you... more
