I definitely will stay here again! Great value, and the location is excellent, in a trendy neighborhood with excellent restaurants/bars/food and cultural institutions just minutes away. MUNI and BART public transportation are very accessible too. My room was small but comfortable, with a very clean shared bathroom and two WCs down the hall; I only had to wait for access... More

I actually lived in San Francisco Bay Area but when my mom came to visit we stayed here to so we could be right in the middle of the city. Hayes Valley is a great location. Its a cute neighborhood with lots of cute shops, restaurants and cafes. Its also near public transportation so easy to get anywhere in the... More

Spent 4 nights at this Inn, over Thanksgiving. Had a great time. We were warmly greeted and advised we had the best room in the Inn. This is a large Inn with a bed and breakfast flavor. We had to share the bath and two "water closets" per floor, but the other guests were pretty courteous and we didn't have... More

The place is different - kind of like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel or inn. The staff people are great - friendly and helpful. The rooms, while small and a bit old-fashioned, were certainly adequate. I had never stayed in that area of SF before, and found Hayes Valley to be a fun place. There is a... More

This is a great Bed and Breakfast! The staff is friendly, the rooms are cozy, and the beds are comfortable. The only down-side for me was the separate toilet and shower room. I'd use the bathroom and hope that by the time I got out that I could scoot into the shower room. I never had a problem getting into... More

Well, at first I thought it was going to be great!! I arrived on a Thursday evening. The evening help is great. Had some tea and cookies and waited for a friend to arrive. The next morning I was awoken by construction downstairs from my room at 7! Happened the next two days too. The day staff is crazy and... More

I wouldn't stay here again. If you are considering it, here are some things you should know: First, the bed in a double room is way too small for 2 people. Our feet were hanging off the bed. Yes, I read the complaint about the noise problem, but thought, I'm from NYC, how bad could it be? Think motorcycles driving... More

This is a cute B&B in the less touristy Hayes Valley. Rooms are quite small, but for a night's stay it really wasn't a big deal (we were in a double room). Our room came without a full bathroom (there is a small sink though in the room), so had to use the shower down the hall, which was clean... More

I was hesitant about the staying at the Hayes Valley Inn as I did not know about the neighborhood and was unsure about the shared bathroom situation. But all the reviews from Trip Advisor members were spot on. The hotel is older but very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The area is pretty good with lots of... More

The hotel was reasonably nice, I would say like 2 or 3 star accomodation. On the downside the room wasn't ensuite and the communal bathrooms are a little small and worn. The breakfast however was great! On a side note, if I were staying in San Francisco again I would probably stay at Fishermans Wharf, it seemed to be where... More
