We stayed at The Pickwick Hotel in August 2009. We found the hotel to be clean and defnitley served its purpose. We were in San Fran for three nights and spent little time in our room. Rooms are very small, but are ideal for a quick getaway to the City. Don’t think I’d want to pay full price; the Hotwire price was ideal (about half standard rate).The Pickwick is within spitting distance of the major shopping areas (boo!) and some interesting museums and galleries. What a fabulous hotel! It is very conveniently located near the Powell St. Bart station and F-Line to the Wharf. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was a little small, but is to be expected in an old, remodeled building. We would most definitely recommend and plan on staying here again when we return! more

I stayed at the Pickwick for business. The room I had was on the street side of the hotel and you could hear street noise all night. The walls were thin.
