Seeing other reviews, I had really tried hard to avoid staying at this hotel. Apparently, something was going on in SF that made hotels completely booked and even the grungy motels were going for $165 per night. So, staying at Hotel Abigail was the only reasonably priced option. At approximately $90, I felt I was getting off easy for San... More

Horrible doesn't begin to describe!!! They are under renovation and should not even be open. Code violations exist, unsafe conditions, electrical issues. Do much more. Elevator doesn't work we had to climb 6 floors of stairs to get to our room. Passing dirt and garbage in the hallways from construction. Our group had several issues. No hairdryer as stated on... I am not really all that picky, I don't need a lot of amenities, all I really look for is a clean room in a safe neighborhood, at a reasonable price. The hotel is seemingly in a convenient location, however the neighborhood to the south and west is very sketchy, lots of drunks, homeless people and drug dealers and users... More

I read all the reviews after I booked this hotel however it was not as bad as some said. On that note, the elevator does not work and carring a baby and luggage up 4 flights of steps was a workout. Was expecting continental breakfast and got dry white/wheat bread and OJ, really! Our sink was clogged the entire time... More

The building is currently under going renovations, so it's covered in all kinds of building dirt/dust and paint. Even our room was poorly constructed with power cables exposing the copper inside them. Definitely not safe for kids. We were placed on the 6th floor but there was no elevator... not a good thing to walk up multiple flights of stairs... More

4 stars (& when I say 4 I really mean .5 stars) Pros: Has that 'new hotel' smell (paint on walls of the lobby still wet), super helpful front desk staff (upon arrival staff was heard saying "I'll tell you where you can go, mister!!", incredible workout facility (the elevator was out of order, and we had to use the... Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable however no coffee or tea in your room only available at breakfast. The hotel itself has single glassing sash windows that don't seal properly so any noise outside is heard inside. The lobby seems to be in the middle of decoration that gives a bad first impression.

Terrible little hole. The hotel is outdated, small and smelly. No cots(cribs), no cable tv, no food service. The area is horrible, drug dealers and bums within metres of the hotel entrance. The worst elevator I have ever seen. No Internet, no wifi and no power in the room??!? The best thing is the 'mini bar'. Only $12 for a... More
