When I check in, the woman at the front desk told me that we could extend the checkout time to 5pm for an additional 50% of the nightly room charge. On the day before I checked out, I told the front desk that we would like to extend the check out time. Now I'm being told that they will charge... More

Came to SF to watch a sporting event and to do some tours - overall a positive experience staying at the Hotel Kabuki with my partner. It was very clean and staff were helpful (specifically the bell desk & drivers). We took taxi's/town car everywhere so I can't really comment on the location. Try the Korean BBQ restaurant across the... More

I liked the lobby, the location was convenient to my destination (work related) and I loved the Deep Bathtub! The elevators were depressing to me. I really hated the fact that my room was too hot and I couldn't adjust the thermostat. I called the front desk and I was told to keep my balcony doors open. I was on... More

Due to my line of work, I've checked in to a number of hotels throughout the last couple of years, I don't hold high exceptions just a cozy place to lay my head at night and a nice warm shower. This hotel didn't even meet that! At the first glance (online photos) I was blown away, it seemed cool, trendy... More

The Hotel Kabuki is a pretty hotel in a great neighborhood. There's lots to see in the Japanese malls, and it's a short walk to the Fillmore Street shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and influenced by Japanese design, and my room had a terrific shower room (although in the main part of the bathroom, the sink was very... More

...did go wrong, at least that's what it seemed. Overall, the look and atmosphere of the hotel is nice and cute as a Japanese boutique hotel. We read about the recent renovations of the hotel through some of the reviews, so we were excited that we were going to get a nice room. First impression of the room, however, was... More

The Hotel Kabuki is a great choice if you are going to see a performance at the Fillmore Theater. We stayed in room 908, in the tower. Nice view, clean room. Paper screens opened to the small balcony, where you have just enough room to stand and look out on the city. The walk-in shower was amazing! Overall, it's an... More

Stayed at the HK for five nights over New Years and had a very pleasant stay. We had a corner room in the 10th floor of the main tower which we found very spacious and comfortable. The location is great as it allows easy access to many of the city's restaurants and sights. The service was off and on, but... More

No outlets for my laptop. Had to unplug the tv for that and charge my phone on the floor. Iron did not work and took 20 minutes and two calls to get a new one. Outlets were so old that I needed to bend the plug on the iron to make a connection. Worst of all, the bar is closed... More

The Hotel Kabuki needs a makeover. The bedside lamp and alarm clock were broken in our room. Bathroom privacy is limited to the toilet. The walls were thin; I could hear the "Woo! girls" across the hall. More
