I've stayed in the place from May 13, 2013~May 17 It was totally wonderful experience for me and my sister. The breakfasts were fantastic and the staffs were really frinedly. If I have chance to visit San Francisco again, I’ll undoubtedly stay in Union Street Inn again. I already miss everything of the place ㅠㅠㅠ

My daughter and I shared the Golden Gate room for three nights at the end of a wonderful girls week in SF. The room was so comfortable, the location was great, and the hospitality provided by Jane, David, and Kit was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and cheese and wine was available each evening. Union street has great upscale shops and... More

My wife and I stayed at the Union Street Inn based on the TA reviews, and very glad we did. The Inn is located in a trendy area of town within walking distance of the Wharf and Ghiradelli Square, and is also along a trolley line. The breakfasts were amazing! The parking isn't great, as we had a car from... More

My wife & I are from Australia & we celebrated our 25th wedding aniversary in the US, Starting in San Francisco. The Union St Inn is located in a quiet & interesting area rather that the loud and over the top tourist areas. It is a very short stroll to plenty of restaurants & bars, there are at least a... More

My sister and I stayed in the coach house which is at the back of the property. Very private and secluded with our own private part of the garden. Breakfast was great and very filling, location was great with lots of shops and restaurants. Golden Gate Bridge is not too far and Fisherman 's Wharf makes for a great walk.... More

What a haven to return to after an action packed day. Cheese, fruit and wine are served in the late afternoons. An orange cake that is delicious is always baked and ready for you. Our room was so nice and restful. Having breakfast in the garden was like your own little paradise especially considering the fruit salad and sumptuous breakfast.... More

My wife and I returned in April 2013 for the third or fourth time within the past few years. We routinely stay at the Union Street Inn. It is the opposite of a big-chain hotel/motel; it has personality -- a friendly staff, a tasty breakfast, and is clean, colorful and cheerful. It is conveniently located in a stretch of Union... We stayed at the inn for a conference downtown and found the public transportation and taxis easy to use. This end of Union Street has many upscale boutiques and some great restaurants, and the bay is not far at all. The Inn is nice; the gardens are lovely out back; Kit and Herb were wonderful; the cookies are fantastic. But... More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, for her 40th birthday. We were very pleased with our choice. We stayed in the "Carriage House" on the first night. I was amazed at how quiet this little guest house was, being set at the back of the property, with a beautiful garden separating it from the main house. The second... More

My wife and I spent five nights here, could not have chosen a better place. The staff, Kit, Jane, David and Herb were all fantastic and very helpful. We stayed in the Wildrose Room, wow, very quaint and spacious. A table with glassware, fruits, water, and chocolates greeted us! The breakfasts were phenomenal, and plentiful. Fresh fruits, fresh squeezed orange... More
