Only one word can describe our stay at Union Street Inn: lovely. Fist, the location is perfect, on a bustling but not-noisy street littered coffee shops, clothing stores and flower stores. There are cafes, bars, restaurants and markets all within a stone's throw of the hotel. We were able to walk to many destinations and there are many transportation options... More

Our desire to stay in a typical San Francisco Victorian Townhouse led to our selection of the Union Street Inn for our four night stay in early January 2012. The location was excellent, situated in the Union Street shopping precinct which meant it was surrounded by beautiful shops, cafes and restaurants. There are two parking stations nearby if you require... More

This attractive 1904 Victorian Town House is well located for exploring the centre of San Francisco. Parking is available nearby. Our 'Holly' room on the first floor was comfortable and quiet. Beautifully furnished and well equipped with a large ensuite. Eat Jane's sumptuous breakfasts in your room or in the parlour, your choice! It is an extremely welcoming house even... More

A lovely place run by lovely people. Very good restaurants close handy and trolley buses right at the door to downtown SF, to Haight/Ashbury and other sights. For those who value the beats and are into the history of American poetry, just around the corner from the inn was where 'Howl' was first read by Ginsberg himself in 1955. There's... More

I really can't say enough good about the comfort, the charm, the delicious breakfasts (Kit, you are to blame for the extra lbs I'm wearing after 5 mornings with you!!), the helpful tips on navigating your gem of a city, and the warm welcome extended to me by owners Jane and David. The location of the inn is wonderful--the perfect... More

The breakfast was to die for and only surpassed by the warmth and attentiveness off the owners and staff. Absolutely loved it! We stayed in the carriage house and it was charming and private. If they availability, book it and you'll never regret it. Cheers! More

My wife and I stayed at the Union Street Inn this past December duirng our drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. The Union Street Inn is a charming B&B whose warm and cozy atmosphere is matched only by its great location in the Cow Hollow district of San Francisco. We were greeted warmly by Kit who went out of her... More

Don't stay in the city! This place is a 20 minute fun bus ride into town (bus stops right in front of Inn). The Inn is located in a quiet but trendy part of town full of cafes, shops and locals. Union Street shops tend to be less expensive than stores in the CBD. Jane made us feel like the... More

We found this Inn quite by accident when looking for a hotal in the area, and I am glad that we did. It's a charming place, with lots of warm character. The rooms are quiet and cosy, and although we were there in the winter, the English garden looks like it will be lovely during a warm spring and summer.... More
