This hotel is very old, but very well-maintained. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms have been renovated and showers are nice. Great location, half a block from Union Square. Can't beat the location. prices are reasonable for this area. Service is excellent. We stayed here for 6 days and had a great experience. only negative is no... More

The Kensington Park Hotel is in a perfect central location in San Francisco - we had 4 nights here before picking up a hire car and embarking on a bit of a roadtrip of Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Death Valley and Grand Canyon. The rooms weren't particularly large but were more than big enough for our requirements and had a lovely... More

Loved this hotel! Soooo much personality, not your cookie cutter chain hotel by any means! When you walk in the front door you know you have entered your home away from home. The decor is very original, beautiful woods and warm colors. The staff is very friendly and helpful with all questions about this beautiful city. The room was cozy... More

Great little Boutique hotel very centrally located, right off Union Square. Very Charming. The staff is wonderfully accomodating. Yes the rooms are on the smaller side but not uncomfortably so. My only feedback would be to ask for a room on the Nob Hill side. We spent the first night on the street side and it was pretty loud. We... More

Very nice hotel in central location. Staff were very nice and gave good recommendations when asked. The water was off for 6 hours on one of the days there but it did not affect us as we were out all that day and they gave good notice. The water in the shower was hard to regulate at right temperature at... More

I made reservations here based on the many positive reviews that I'd read here. I wasn't expecting a modern, luxury room and had previously stayed in other older hotels in the downtown area, so I had reasonable expectations. Our check-in was late due to plane delays. We were assigned to a very small room that had an entrance inside an... More

The Hotel Lobby has history and charm, with a elegant chandelier, grand piano, glamorous carved wood ceiling and intriguing artwork. The front desk staff, concierge, housekeeping staff were kind, friendly and professional. The rooms were cozy, comfortable and extremely clean. The bathroom slightly small but adequate. The shower was awesome, had wonderful water pressure for a nice hot shower. The... More

Stayed here for a Sat night with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Room with two double beds was slightly small but not by SF standards. Was completely fine for two adults, especially if you're planning to spend all day out. Was well priced for the location (right off of Union Square) and having a private bathroom. Came with robes... This hotel is a little gem. It is situated right next to Union square - literally a 50m walk at most! This is it's biggest selling point! Union square in all reality, is the best place to stay in San Francisco. Being close to Powell St as well, you are very close to a couple of cable car stops as... More
