The hotel is in a good location. It is less than a mile from Bar Harbor. There is a free shuttle that runs to and from Bar Harbor. We ate in the restaurant. It was nothing to write home about. The room was outdated and smelled very old. The only plus for the room was the size. It was nice... More

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel and grounds are very lovely. The hot tub was that....HOT! We did not pay the extra $50 for an ocean view because we only were in the room for sleeping. Didn't try any of the restaurants...went into town for all meals. I really liked their location and would stay there again. More

The Bar Harbor Regency closed down without warning. Having booked for two nights we were most disappointed to find the restaurant was not open for dinner or the buffet for breakfast. The hotel was probably built in the 70's or 80's, somewhat dated, but still a very nice place to stay.
