There is not enough I can say about the Bass Cottage Inn's service and personnel. Clean, elegant, comfortable and homey. I think all of those things are hard to find. Everyone was so nice and very accommodating to any questions or needs that popped up. You will have no 'wants' at the Inn and even if you can find some... More

We adored our stay at the Bass Cottage Inn. We were welcomed by the friendliest owners and made to feel right at home immediately. It had all the great touches of a cozy, private bed and breakfast, but had the gourmet breakfasts of a five star restaurant. Every morning was started perfectly with a delicous meal and every afternoon held... More

My husband and I went to Bass Cottage Inn at the end of October for a few nights. We have nothing but great things to say about the owners, the atmosphere, and most importantly the breakfast. From the gourmet breakfast every morning to relaxing with wine by one of the many fireplaces at night, we highly recommend Bass Cottage Inn! More

I can't say enough about the Bass Cottage Inn - it was truly perfection! We honeymooned along the coast of Maine this past October and stayed at 3 B&Bs along the way - the Bass was BY FAR our fave. The innkeepers, Teri & Jeff, set a perfect tone of friendliness, warmth and unobtrusiveness. Our room was beautiful and very... More

We stayed at the Bass Cottage Inn for our honeymoon in Oct as a base to explore Acadia National Park. It was a wonderful inn, the owners were very helpful, you were made to feel completely at home in the inn, we loved the 'pantry' with delicious homemade cakes and drinks in the afternoons. Breakfasts were really tasty - we... More

Our recent stay at The Bass Cottage Inn was wonderful! The staff was very informative and helpful. The food was well balanced, healthy, and tasty! Our room was very well decorated and the Inn as a hole is very well kept. The location is ideal to the town and harbor. My new husband and I had a great overall experience!... More

This is the best B&B my fiancee and I have ever stayed at. Everything I read at this site turned out to be true. The gourmet breakfast was to die for and the owners went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We will definitely return! More

My wife and I decided to go to Bar Harbor and Arcadia park over a long Columbus day weekend. We found many of our hotel and B&B choices were booked (we'd thought Bar Harbor would be relatively empty). We found the Bass Cottage Inn had 1 room left and we decided to splurge a bit and stay there. The minute... More

I honestly can't say enough about Bass Cottage Inn - everything about our experience there just blew me away. The Inn itself is gorgeous. It has a nice, cozy "cottage" feel to it - lots of warm wood, leather furniture, hardwood floors, cute antiques, etc. - but the best thing is that everything is actually very new and modern. No... We stayed at the Bass Cottage Inn in August, 2011. As with all the other reviewers, we found the property to be conveniently located, the decor elegant and the breakfasts top-notch. Because of the professional servers and the small tables, breakfast felt more like a restaurant than most B&Bs so those who are not fans of the communal-table small talk... More

We're pleased that this couple from North Carolina enjoyed their stay with us at The Bass Cottage Inn last August. Room 1 is one of more popular rooms because it is a large queen room, mid-priced and offers a fireplace and convenient (no stairs) access. It is advertised as being on the first floor and as ADA compliant. We do... More
