We loved going to Bellows on the weekend for camping (09-10) then command changed and we have had nothing but problems with reservations being cancelled (You have to call ahead to make sure they haven't cancelled your reservations, "it's not their job" We had to cancel our cabins and did so and we were told we would be refunded our... We lived in Hawaii from 1999 to 2002 and so were very familiar with Bellows Beach. It was one of our favorite weekend getaways for camping and beaching. When we planned our return to Hawaii for a vacation, now 10 years later, we decided that Bellows would be the cheapest and best option to just unwind - and we were... More

We read some horrible reviews before our trip.....I would like to adress some of the issues we read. First: ants. IT'S A BEACH....there will be ants! Nuff said. Honestly, we saw very few. Customer Service: We had GREAT customer service, everyone was very very nice and helpful. Accomodations: No, it's not the Hilton Hawaiian...but you know that going in. If... More

Bellows is not a luxury hotel experience, BUT the location is amazing and the beach is the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. We have been back three times in the last year and a half to get away and relax. It is very peaceful (being on the opposite side of the island from Waikiki), and there are... More

Our daughter is in the Air Force and we spent a week in the Bellows Beach cabins and loved it. Be sure to request a renovated cabin. The non renovated cabins are not as nice. Its not a fancy beach resort but very clean and everything you need. The beach was like a postcard.

I recently had the great pleasure of spending 17 days at Bellows AFS with a couple of old high school buddies from Hickam AFB where all of our fathers had served in the early 60's . Being somewhat familiar with Bellows from "back in the day", I was very eager to return to enjoy Bellows natural beauty and pure island... More

We had the best sight ever #12. We pitched our 2 L.L.Bean tents and they withstood the heavy night wind for 3 nights. The beach is fabulous and it was our front yard and not too busy for the Thursday/Friday/Saturday stay. The restrooms were close and mostly clean. The on base restaurant was always friendly and the food was better... More

The cabins here are actually duplexes. Ours was a renovated two bedroom and one bathroom with a combination living room, kitchen, and dining room. The place has a TV which receives quite a few channels. We had trouble with the WIFI but there were computers available in the office where we checked in and it was just a short walk... More

We arrived on 23 September 2011 at Honolulu airport by American Airlines flight (no probles with the nonstop flight from DFW). We were driven to Bellows Air Force later that day by my husbands parents. They had rented two different cabins. One was one of the newer renovated ones and one was non renovated. We stayed in the older type,... More

We stayed 4 nights at Bellows. The cabins are spacious enough, clean and practical but very simple and not the most beautiful. The proximity of the beach is just fantastic! It’s probably the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, looks like on a postcard. The station has a little shopette and a Subway which was very convenient. Overall I... More
