We did have a good time, the beach was nice and we did enjoy seeing the large turtles swimming nearby. If these condos where in a different location I might be able to recommend. But even in the gated hotel I didn't feel safe. We could see homeless people from our condo and from the beach living in tents. We... more

My family stayed here for 10 days over New Years. There are pros and cons in staying here. The Hawaiian Princess itself is a very nice complex. I use the word complex because it is entirely gated, needing an electronic fob for entrance into the parking lot, to enter the elevator and enter/exit to the beach. They also have 24-hour... more

My husband and I and our best friends went to Hawaii in 12/09. I traded our time share week for this week at Hawaiian Princess. After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous but quickly found out that things were not as bad as they represented. We also arrived after hours and the security guard was wonderful... more

The condo was fabulous. We never experienced any of the complaints I read in the review regarding management and residents. All condos have a panoramic ocean views and we saw sea turtles almost every morning. Only complaint was the drive to all the touristy spots, took nearly 30 minutes each way. Area was a bit rough, tent cities were there... more

Absolutely the best and most beautiful view, of all the beautiful room views we have had! A gorgeous sunset greeted us upon arrival, as we opened the front door and looked out through the lanai. Reward enough after driving an hour in rush hour traffic through what looked like some typical inner city areas. Rest assured, we felt safe, travelled... more

Great unit, terrific view. . Don't worry about what you read about the parking. The stalls are the same width as the Safeway and the Costco lot so it must be Hawaiian Standard width. I rented a Chrysler Coinvertable and it fit just fine. There was always a spot available. Safeway, Costco, Target are 15 miles away (exit 1B) but... more

www.HawaiianPrincessCondo.com www.MakahaBeachCondo.com We booked through one of these websites with a private owner. It was the best vacation we have ever experienced. The unit we stayed in was perfectly clean and well equipped! The views were unbeatable. To be able to do laundry and not pack 2 suitcases was great. The Hawaiian Princess was on the most beautiful beach we... more

Hawaiian Princess is located on a very quiet beach that is never busy... we were on the 16th floor (top) in #1601. Cornor room, 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath...wrap around lani, kitchen, washer, dryer... ideal for "getting away". We watched turtles swim every day! Wish we could go back NOW!! Rented from private owner @ http://www.skrrentals.com, great deal! more

We always read the reviews on trip advisor before we go on vacation, and it always amazes me that people's experiences can be so different! We stayed at the Hawaiian Princess from June 27-July 3, 2009. This is my third trip to Hawaii, and I went with my husband. We have previously stayed in Waikiki at the Marriott and a... more

The Condo is a solid hour from the airport and Honolulu. When you arrive, there is a security fence around the propert because you are right in the middle of the worst part of town. There is a security guard on duty (for a reason) The condo itself and the beach are acceptable but there are no real restaurants around... more
