We stayed just for the night but the room was very clean basic but roomy with a fridge no coffee maker but coffee & muffin for breakfast & shops closeby. Also next to Mc Donalds & PCC where we spent the day was very con venient for this & the North shore. There was also an old hawaii feel to... more

Yes, as you read, it's the only one place on the north shore Oahu !!!! Impossible to find another one and it's at Laie you have to go ! All B&B are booked or overpriced and the possibility to find an hotel/motel is zero. this one is easy to find because situated on the side of the polynesian center and... more

My husband and I spent three days here with our service dog. The place was kept spotlessly clean and well serviced. The manager, Bonnie, was able to accomodate our early check-in, which allowed us to get a nap before driving out to one of the isolated beaches. We found great spotsalong the beaches to play with our dog, who enjoyed... more

I have stayed at the Laie Inn for over 20 years, often staying at twice a year. The Inn is located on a beautiful spot of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and is near beaches, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Brigham Young University-Hawaii, and the LDS Temple. It is clean, modestly priced, and operated by very friendly and helpful people.... more

Not acceptable. Third world quality at premium rates. Its location on the rural northeast shore, and its proximity to the Cultural Center, should make this hotel a gem; it is not. The owners should be embarrassed to charge over $100 per night. Hardly an unblemished surface in the hotel. Mold in the bathrooms. The staff is friendly, but naïve. The... more

We were camping in the nearby Malaekahana State Recreation Area when our car was broken into, so we no longer felt safe camping and ended up randomly choosing the Laie Inn since it was close. The desk clerk warned us that the rooms are "old and people don't like them." She was nice enough to give us the online rate... more

I have never stayed in a place that was as dirty and unkept as the Laie Inn. When my wife and I stay in budget accommodation we sometimes borrow their vaccuum cleaner and re-do the floors to remove dust. We did the same here but to no avail. After re-cleaning the carpet you'd still get dirtmarks on your feet from... more

I've traveled throughout the US & Europe and have found that Hawaii is unique. Not only for it's unbelievable beauty but for it's lack of places to stay outside of the larger cities. There are few small funky type hotels on the road but if you plan to wing it as we did -beware. The Laie Inn was near the... more

Laie Inn is far from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but it's truely, an authentic Hawaiian experience! It's litterally across the street from the beach and the PCC is right next door; not to mention the McDonald's is too! :) It's just before North Shore and away from all the "touristy" locations. The rooms are comfortable (not 5 star,... more

We chose the Laie Inn because it was the most inexpensive place we could find on the north shore. The motel is old and shabby (and I am NOT fussy). The lobby is ok and the employees in the lobby are friendly. As for our room, there was dried blood on the bedsheet and blanket when we arrived. The windows... more
