We stayed a week in Pu'uana Cottage and it exceeded our expectations. The view from the deck over the ocean was exceptional and it was only a few steps down to the water's edge. The waves provided a lovely sound all evening. You enter into a kitchen that is well laid out and well equipped with a living room off... More

I was honored to accompany my family for a 2 week stay on Moloka'i back in Augusta of 2008. I am embarrassed I havent written this sooner. We stayed in Pauwalu. I ven never in my life felt more relaxed or at home as I did at the Dunbar Cottages. The people of Moloka'i are kind, generous and fun loving.... More

Our family (myself, husband and two kids aged 7 and 3) stayed at the Pauwalu cottage for 6 nights in February 2010 and we all loved the experience and were very sad to leave. I have so many good things to say about the cottage and Molokai! This was our first trip to Hawaii and we picked Molokai as a... More

We just returned from a ten day stay at the Pauwalu cottage and will definitely be returning there for our next Hawaii visit. This cottage is great for kids. The beach has very easy (and safe) access and the fish pond enclosure turns the ocean front into a wading pool that is perfect for children (I understand the other Dunbar... More

We wanted to get away from the tourists and experience the real Hawaii. This met all our expectations! The privacy was fabulous and the secluded beach was beyond description. We stayed for 10 days. We did have a few visiting bugs (famous Hawaiian flying cock roaches) but there were not many and easily manageable. We saw geckos on the windows... More

We recently stayed as a large group at both of these cottages. They sit in a truly beautiful and removed part of Hawaii. If you are looking for a place to unwind, be with family, sit on the beach, swim and simply get away, this is the place. Each cottage is beautifully taken care of, well furnished and very comfortable.... More

We stayed at the Dunbar Beach Cottage (Pu'unana Cottage) on March 6-10, 2007 and absolutely loved it ! The view from the lanai was outstanding, especially at night! The cottage is very clean, well maintained, has beautiful hardwood floors, a well equipped kitchen, although we did suggest an upgrade to the BBQ. A great place to get away from it... More

I always prefer to search out a remote and less touristed locale for my vacations. I hate being jammed in by other people. I visited Molokai for the first time for about 4 nights and booked Dunbars after researching various websites and guidebooks. I traveled there with my elderly parents and my partner. The ferry ride started out perfect with... More

It gave me what most travellers want, a feeling that I had discovered a special treasure. Make no mistakes, this is NOT fancy. We drove out there in the dark and collapsed in bed when we arrived. We awoke to a view like nothing I had ever seen. A completely unobstructed view of the sea maybe 20 feet from our... More
