Rainbow Hostel is more than just a place to stay on Maui. It is run by amazing hosts Emma, Josh and Jorgen who work around the clock to make sure it is a clean and happy home. Everyone there is fun to be around, and if I get the chance to go back to beautiful mama Maui, I will be... More

A house dog? That you sign up to take for a walk. House cats too. And three different kitchens? We only stayed one night at the end of our trip. We had to go there to put down a $50 reservation fee a few days before to guarantee a private room. When we arrived and the desk clerk was late,... More

I stayed longer than expected because the mood was excellent. Very clean, good situation, very friendly staff. The other people at the hostels were a mix of old people on vacation, surfers, backpackers ... a very friendly mix. There's even wifi ! More

I had a wonderful time in this fanstatic hostel. Absolutely friendly management, cheap & affordable (30,-$), great location (Paia one of the best towns on Maui) and great people there. The hostel's atmosphere is really heartwarming! The hostel is very clean (due to caring management) and has no bed bugs at all. When I'll go back to Maui, I'll defenitely... More

I stayed in the girls dorm, it was quiet and nice. The kitchen was great. They do airport runs for $20 bucks, oir you can take the Maui bus from... More

We spent one night in a private room here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderfully kind and fun staff, big community kitchens and shared bathrooms, all very clean, excellent price. We are not surfers, we're just travellers with a preference for simple lodging. More

I travelled to Maui by myself in oct/nov 2001, as a female traveller i was a little nervous....but not for long :) Emma picked me up from the airport and right away I felt comfortable (they will do airport shuttles for 20 bucks cheaper than a taxi) The hostel is great very clean and has a nice chilled out vibe... Having had a really bad experience with bed bugs at the other hostel on the island, finding this hostel was a life saver. The place is really well run, cleaned twice a day and the staff are awesome. And best of all NO bed bugs!! I only planned to stay a week and ended up staying 2 months! Emma, Josh... More

I rolled into town at the last minute, and needed a place to stay. Word of mouth led me to this great Hostel. Very affordable, staff was great, 5 min. walk to Paia, a great little town and the beach. Emma was a very courteous host. Mark this one in the phone, I highly recommend it. More
