We stayed in Room 707 and booked our stay through owners Art & Sophie Nickel of 806. Very comfortable room, ocean view, murphy bed (slept like babies on it). Everything we needed was right there. It was nice staying at a smaller, more quiet establishment. They have a video library in the lobby and a nice BBQ area near the... More

We booked our trip to Maui through the Maui Kai 806 owners, Art and Sophie and were so pleased that we did. They were so kind and helpful, as were everyone we encountered at the Maui Kai. There is no way to adequately describe the terrific location of this resort and we appreciated that it was not a huge resort... More

We stayed at the Maui Kai unit #106 at the end of August. The condo was extremely well equipped with the comfort of the guests in mind. The bed was so comfortable and the sound of the surf was incredible. We were so close to the water. The views from the lanai were perfect. We watched the sunset every night... More

I booked my stay through Maui Kai 807, Donna Bender owner. This was my first trip to the islands and was very impressed by the value and location. The housekeeping staff was excellent. I liked the smaller venue and it has all the ammenities. What a great way to spend Christmas, watching the whales from our windows. I highly recommend... More

We stayed at Maui Kai 301 in January 2012. The condo was perfect for the two of us. The owner really took the time to think of all the comforts a guest would need, including a really nice set of binoculars that we used daily to watch the MANY whales right from our lanai! There is snorkel equipment, an ice... More

We stayed at the Maui Kai for our honeymoon recently. Recommended by Donna Bender, she helped us make arrangements at the Maui Kai and book us a special room. Room 201 was definitely unique from the others because it had an extra private lanai at the side of the room. It was simply amazing to see and feel the ocean... More

I'm glad you enjoyed the special outdoor deck of Unit 201. The Aloha spirit of the front desk, housekeepers and maintenance staff really does give you an authentic Hawaiian experience. Thanks for staying with us - we look forward to seeing you again! Mahalo nui, Donna Bender More

We booked our honeymoon through Donna Bender who owns Maui Kai 807. It was a fantastic place. Very quiet and relaxing place to be. Walking distance to a store so you can cook your own meals. Easy to get around in your car or even taking a bus if you did not have a car. The one thing I enjoyed... More

Our stay at Maui Kai was just pure paradise! Every day, we enjoyed the most awesome view of the ocean and the calming sounds of the waves! We just love swimming and snorkeling in just a few steps away.... it was so beautiful. As for swimming in the pool, the ocean was cooler and more refreshing. I highly recommend Maui... More

I was happy to help you with your stay at Maui Kai. There's nothing like falling asleep to the ocean waves and waking up and seeing the ocean from your bed! Mahalo nui loa, Donna Bender More

We just returned from another trip (maybe our 7th or so?) to the Maui Kai, and I'm finally writing a review. Here's all of the things we love about it: * all rooms have ocean front views -- you're practically hanging over the water! * you can see amazing sunsets, whales and spinner dolphins from the lanai/patio * it's on... It was my pleasure helping you once again book your stay at Maui Kai! I'm glad my unit 807 was available for your stay this time. I'm constantly remodeling it so guests will have the best, most comfortable possible experience. I hope you enjoyed the new carpet and flat screen TV! Mahalo nui loa, Donna Bender More

Maui Kai was everything we hoped for, and more. We had a 3rd floor waterfront studio with a pull-down bed--which seemed a little strange at first, but it worked out fine. The little kitchenette had everything we needed to make ourselves at home in paradise, including a dishwasher. The bathroom had a dolphin motif going with various handles and a... More
