Beautiful Hana !! This town is a real gem, although not for the tourist who needs to be entertained by big shows and tours. Hale Kukuna II was our escape from touristy Maui. This is an upstairs/downstairs duplex overlooking a fish pond and with a keyhole view of the bay. Modern and large with all the amenities. Lots of ceiling fans to keep cool. We just returned from the Hamlet of Hana - not so much a town as a crossroads. The area around Hana is a tropical paradise of beachs and waterfalls, but this home is certainly not "paradise". The "koi pond" that sits below it is a mosquito magnet. We could not sit outside during our four day stay without being munched... More
