I was fortunite enough to find this property in a book rented from the library. From the minute we arrived me and my fiance were overwhelmed with the beauty. Ken not only was a great host but also very informative on the local area. Two must things to do is ask ken about the hidden waterfall down the road, theres... More

After arriving at about 1am in Maui at the cottages, Ken was there to greet us with a smile. The directions he gave made finding his secret getaway easy...even at 1am. Driving down his road at night for the first time was a little uneasy but safe. After taking a wonderfully warm shower we hit the pillow. (Ken as well... More

We just returned from our first vacation in Hawaii where a highlight was spending two nights at the Mango Cottage at Aloha Cottages Maui. Had we realized how close we were to the other must see sites we would have stayed there longer. I like to explore and see non commercialized areas so this was a perfect place to land.... More

To all those travelers that are tired of staying at a resort My husband and I stayed in the Mango Hut for 9 glorious days. The cottage was clean, quiet and off the beaten path. We could not have asked for better hospitality from our host. Not only did he greet us with fresh fruit and coconuts from the property... More

My husband and I are from Spain where I am a teacher of English. We just recently stayed at Aloha Maui cottages in the Jungle Palace. We were looking for a place where we could experience what to live in Hawaii is like. We did not want to stay in a tourist resort. We did a lot of research before... More

My wife and I stayed in the Jungle Cottage for about a week recently. Rustic, as the previous reviewer described it, is accurate. It was a lot like camping, though with a decent bathroom. It was reasonably clean, but there was plenty of dust on the fans, and the sheets smelled a little funky. We were stocked low on toliet... More

My husband and I were visiting Hawaii and were looking for some non-traditional places to stay on the island of Maui and came across the reviews for Aloha Maui cottages, since both of the reviews here were posiitive and the price was cheap we booked our stay in the Banana Room. Be forwarned, if you are not the "rustic type"... More

We just got back from a fabulous visit to Maui, where we spent a week on the North East shore, at the Aloha Maui Cottages... ---------------- I used to live on Kauai waaaay back in the early 80s, and had not been back to The Islands in over 20 years. Imagine my delight when I discovered that life on the... More

Ken really nailed it on the head. If you are looking for a place off the beaten path, this is it. We loved the fact that this whole place is self sufficient. Solar energy. The location is beautiful. Falling asleep to the stream right outside everynight was a treat! Feels like you are in a rainforest. Stayed in the Banana... More
