Overall location was good because you have many beaches just a short drive away. You also have the Hyatt next door so you can walk and enjoy their atmosphere and Shipwreck Beach is only about a 5 minute walk along the ocean. I really enjoyed the sidewalk path that was around the resort, you could walk to the Hyatt, we... more

We just got back from our stay at the Point. Upon arrival I felt that the overall appeal of the hotel was just ok. Once inside the rooms I was much happier. Very clean and roomy. There was not much beach in front of the hotel, but there were quite a few within walking distance. I really liked that since... more

When we first arrived in Kauai , the resort we had booked ,( Pono Kai ) was very unacceptable. We spent the night there but the next morning we got lucky when Diamond Resorts moved us to the Point at Poipu. It was a welcome relief when we first arrived to see how nice and clean everything was. The staff... more

We are owners with Diamond Resorts, visited the Point at Poipu on a "gift" to see another Diamond resort. It was nice, but the resort in Maui is alot better! No beach or access directly to the beach from the Point of Poipu, though it isn't really all that far to walk to the beach in front of the Grand... more

I went with 5 other people. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. There was more then enough room for all 6 of us. There were 2 bathrooms. I was told the pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable though. My husband and I slept in the master suite and I had no complaints, the bed was very comfortable. The grounds... more

I agree with the other negative reviews listed here. The Point is in a great location--close to beautiful Poipu beach and within a short walk to the Grand Hyatt. The ocean view from The Point is fantastic. The lobby and grounds closeby are just beautiful. The pool is also nice, and warm. However, our room and the service were lackluster.... more

We had a wonderful stay in May 2009 on an RCI exchange. We arrived before check in and we were able to leave our bags (they put our groceries in the fridge) and they called us when the room was ready. Our bags were already in the room waiting for us when we went to go see it. We were... more

Went to the Point at Poipu with high expectations, after coming from Kaanapali Beach Club in Maui. It wasn't nearly as nice as the Kaanapali beach club. The air conditioning cycles on and off repeatedly and can never get the room cold enough, it seems to only get to 75F and then shut off, regardless of the setting on the... more

Stayed here recently as a timeshare exchange through RCI. Much nicer resort than expected. Stayed in a very nice two bedroom unit with two full baths. Plenty of room for the four of us. Property is very nice and well maintained. Resort is located on the ocean but has no beach. Coastline is very rocky. Lot's of tide pools to... more

Beautiful resort, wonderfu setting. With 2 adult children, the condo was the best - lots of room to spread out. Close to beaches and lots of help scheduling activities. more
