My husband and I stayed here for a few nights when we did the Inagural Kauai Marathon. It was great! Close enough to walk less than a mile to the race start at the Poipu shopping village. Ha, we drove there later for a Puka Dog. But it's walkable if it needs to be. No it's not on the beach,... more

We loved our stay in the Wild Orchid Cottage. Out of all the places we stayed during our honeymoon, this was definitely the most “honey”. The cottage had a very Hawaiian feeling, and is in a great location for exploring the various small beaches. Our favorite beach was the one at the Sheraton, but I think we made it to... more

We spent 8 nights in the Hibiscus unit. The "cottages" are not stand-alone units but are 3 units attached to each other. The two end units are the best because of the cross-draft and side-alleys. The location is fabulous on a quiet street near a cove that's the sleeping grounds for dozens of giant sea turtles and entry way to... more

We had spent 12 nights on the North Shore and loved it. Frankly, we didn't want to go to Poipu! But we had 2 nights to kill at the end of the trip and opted to check out the south shore. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which was large, well priced, and the owners made an exception on the... more

We stayed in the wild orchid cottage for 1 night d/t needing to stay an extra night for flight reasons, and are we glad we chose kauai cove. I absolutely loved this place and would love to come back and stay longer. The bathrm was amazing-go online and look at their pix, as well as the bed. There was also... more

My husband and I stayed at Kauai Cove 4 years ago for the first part of our honeymoon. Unlike some of the other peculiar reviewers on this site, we actually read the description of the property and realized that it wasn't on the ocean, and we didn't care. It was in a lovely, quiet, residential area, with a little turtle-filled... more

My husband and I recently spent our fifth anniversary on Kauai - what a beautiful island!!! Our cottage was just perfect - we were in the Hibiscus -we found everything we needed and even a few little extras we didn't expect. There was a nice beach just a short away and some great snorkeling, and we really enjoyed getting to... more

Don't stay here in October....we don't want to fight for reservations!!! The owners are the most wonderful people, and will do as much as possible to make your stay perfect! Need to relax with a massage in your room? That can be arranged. Does your family wish to send you flowers because you just got engaged? They will be in... more

My husband and I were very comfortable and well satisfied during our stay in the Hibiscus Cottage. True, the cottages are all attached, but all three were occupied when we were there and we never heard a sound from any of them. We were located close to the ocean and swam with sea turtles and discovered monk seals sleeping on... more

My husband and I stayed in the Plumeria Cottage for seven nights in March of 2003. You get what you pay for in Hawaii, but our room was a bargain. This is a three-unit building in a residential neighborhood about three blocks from the beach. There is no view of the ocean, but in my opinion, views are overpriced anyway.... more
