I've always dreamed of going to Kauai but never thought I'd ever get there, so when I got the opertunity I wanted to make sure I chose the right place to stay. I definitely did when I picked Kauai Banyan! We stayed in the Milo suite in September '11 for 9 nights and had an amazing time. Kauai is spectacular... More

My husband and I recently returned from a one week stay in the Ali'i Suite, and we had an amazing experience! As previous reviews have mentioned, a few things that make this Inn stand out are 1.) the clean, comfortable rooms with private entrances 2.) Lorna's hospitality, and 3.) the great price. For our first trip to Kauai, we were... More

My wife and I just returned from our second visit to Kaua'i and our second stay at Kauai Banyan Inn (we also posted a review of our first stay). For what it's worth, I'm a bit over 50 and have traveled globally on business (and for pleasure) for many years. I've stayed in every class of accommodation that exists, from... More

This was our second time to Kauai Banyan Inn, and definitely not the last. If you want to feel the true spirit of "aloha", and don't like impersonal hotel rooms, this is the perfect destination. Last year we stayed in the Ulu Suite, which has gorgeous views of mountains and the sunrise, beautiful hardwood floors, and a bright, airy feeling.... More

Celine and myself really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. We enjoyed the fact that we were tucked away from the rest of the B&B and loved the cute little cottage. We pretty much kept to ourselves as we really were looking to chill out at night. The B&B's location is convenient when you have a car and want to... More

My Husband and i stayed in the Ai'li Room which in Hawaiian means "Royalty" and thats exactly how we felt. The room was breath taking! wide open panorama views of mountain and ocean views. its an east facing room, that being said we woke up every morning to the most amazing sunrise. we could not have picked a better place... We also did not understand why people wrote such enthusiastic reivews, and fully agree with bbobrown's description of the place. Motel-style outdoor-access numbered doors describes the place well. Each room (formerly bedrooms for the couple's children) opens to a lanai looking out on some greenery. While the rooms are soundproofed, if the door to the lanai is open (which is... More

Thank you, picksandpans_12 for your review. I am sorry that you were not completely happy with your stay at Kauai Banyan. However, I appreciate your candid review so I can step back and look into the problems that you felt you encountered. First of all, my business is centered around the way I enjoy traveling and thru the information i... More

The reviews for the Banyan Tree Inn under the heading of B&Bs on TripAdvisor are flooded with glowing comments. The reviews led us to call, make and pre-pay for several days at the Inn for our first trip to Kauai in early December. We experienced something quite different than the many well written accolades. The discrepancy is puzzling. In summary,... More

Our reaction when entering the Ulu suite was "Oh my, oh my!", and it was re-confirmed every day. Spacious unit, totally clean, great veranda, outstanding views (hills, trees, flowers, sunrise, farms), comfy bed, very efficient kitchenette, beach stuff galore, great hot tub, very nice welcoming snack, and a super location in terms of access to shopping, dining, beaches, beaches, beaches,... The Kauai Banyan Inn proved to be a greaat place to stay. We stayed in both rooms 3 and 4. Both had great views, and were very nicely appointed. Lorna provides all the little touches that all add to the experience. These included welcoming notes, treats in the fridge, hot tub, barbeque, fresh towels daily, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, and... More
