We always book with Hale Kua. The owners, Bill and Cathy, provide everything one could need to fend for one-selves - especially if you don't want to do the restaurant experience every day. Each accommodation offers a little different ambience. We have stayed in Gardenia (a lovely loft), the Cottage (wonderful views), and next year we are booked for Coral... More

Secluded, quiet, beautiful spot, but also accessible to everywhere on the island. If you like to be part of the local environment of Kauai and truly experience the beauty and nature of the island, then this is an ideal spot. Cathy and Bill are wonderful, thoughtful and gracious hosts, that leave you to enjoy all that they have. You can... More

This was the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. It had everything we needed. The house was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed waking up and watching the birds for hours in the morning. I would not recommend this place for the resort traveler but for those that want to see what Kaua'i is really like, this is the... More

My husband and I stayed in the cottage to celebrate our 33 years of marriage. From the beginning of planning our stay, Cathy and Bill, the owners, were very nice. They answered our e-mails promptly and when we arrived, it felt like we already knew them. The cottage was very neat and clean with everything we needed in the kitchen.... More

I found Hale Kua off Priceline, and was not expecting it to be a B&B. That said, I am really glad we found it. Cathy and Bill are friendly and accommodating, and the entire grounds feel just like a home away from home with the fruit trees and quaint surroundings. Though not by the beach, it is nestled in a... We stayed in Banana Patch in a one-bedroom condo We enjoyed the generous space and amenities such as washer and dryer. You can see the condo inside on the website for Hale Kua Most of all, we enjoyed the setting, which is incredibly beautiful. You are 3/4 mile from the main road that encircles all of Kauai. We had a lovely time at the Hale Kua. It is located in a beautiful, quiet place up on the hillside above Lawai. Perfect for those of us who appreciate dark and quiet at night. It's secluded and set in the midst of fabulous trees, shrubs and flowers. We traveled as two couples and we were located in the Taro... More

What a wonderful experience to stay at the "Cottage". Mornings to wake up with bird song and rooster calls (did not annoy me one bit!), self catered breakfast, then a walk up the hill for the most breath taking view down the forest canopy and the glinting Pacific. Pick some fruit from the trees, munch on your way back. Do... More

Our second stay with Hale Kua: this time we came just as a couple and stayed in the cottage. We loved it - the hillside view, the little washer/dryer and kitchen, spacious bedroom and perfect bathroom. Excellent value for the price, and very nicely secluded!
