Stayed here for a week and have no complaints... It's an older property, so the rooms don't look like something out of Architectural Digest or anything, but they are clean and quiet, and basically get the job done for a fraction of the price of other hotels on the island. More

The furniture, the bed spread, the carpet, all were dated, like the 1970's. However, everything in my room functioned like it should. This place is wonderful. It is reasonably priced, clean and the staff is friendly and very helpful. It is not the most updated place but NO complaints! It is on the beach, quite and close to everything! We will be back to Kauai and plan on staying here again. Mahalo Kauai Sands Hotel! More

Our medication was gone through.... stuff was taken from our room (our cans that said "Save" on the paper bag and was no where near the trash.... had problems with the bathroom and they wanted to know "What we did to it to break it".... mmmmm flushed... We booked through travelocity for 1 night, decided to give it a try since reviews were very mixed. Needless to say it was terrible and we got out if there as soon as we could. This is a no brainer....its a great place and priced for budget traveling on Kauai. Its centrally located on the island so you can head north for jungle or south east for dry and sunny.
