We enjoyed our stay here. The room was nicely furnished and came supplied with guidebooks, photo books of the island, and even snorkel gear. Tracy and Ben were great hosts, and the breakfast was tasty: eggs, toast, fresh sliced papaya and pineapple. The location is relatively secluded in a quiet neighborhood on the side of a hill... if you're looking... More

Mahalo for the positive review, we're glad you enjoyed your stay. We apologize for the ants, and more so, for not letting you know that they are all but unavoidable when you leave food out in the room for any period of time. We try to let everyone know that our approach to managing ants is to avoid nasty toxins... More

If you are into basic accommodations and a non-resort atmosphere.... consider staying here. The host family is very nice and the breakfasts are outstanding.... lots of fresh fruit and delicious! The rooms are clean but small and the B&B is a short drive from Poipu. It's at an elevation that is refreshingly cool at night. It was perfect for us! More

Eco-conscious and perfectly located on top of a hill in a beautiful neighborhood! Away from the hustle and bustle and just a few minutes away from Poipu Beach. Every morning you'll wake up to Ben and Traci's wonderful smiles and beautifully prepared breakfasts. Fresh and local papaya, kiwi and pineapple! This B&B is ultra-clean and each room is well-decorated and... More

Follow the directions from the owner and you will find this bed and breakfast at the top of the dirt road. It is centrally located to everything we were going to do in Kauai. Couple of restaurants within 5 miles of the bed and breakfast. The owners are delightful and the room we had was very spacious with a sitting... More

Tracy and Ben are two of the kindest people I have ever met. After a long flight from the east coast, it was such a comfort to have them as my hosts, I was welcomed immediately. They provided great recommendations and directions to places on the island. And the breakfasts they serve up...simply outstanding. The breakfast wrap and fresh fruit... More

We stayed with the Sullivans at their Strawberry Guava b & b for 12 days and enjoyed being there very much. Run by Ben & Traci, with help from their three young children, we felt very much at home and were well looked after. Not fancy, but comfortable, with wonderful breakfasts and lots of good conversation. Breakfast, served on the... More

As a travel professional (and a member of the National Association of Travel Agents) I felt compelled to critique a “B&B” we stayed in over Christmas 2010 to alert all as to the status of this “B&B”. I stayed at the Strawberry Guava six years ago and booked it for four nights over Christmas 2010. The new owners Tracy and... More

We're not for everyone, as these guests can attest to. We offer clean, comfortable rooms, friendly accommodations, reasonable prices, and a great breakfast. However, we are not a hotel. We do live here with our three children and we do not have libraries, lounges, or other expanded amenities available to our guests that may be more typical at a hotel.... More

Pros: - quiet rural location partially up a mountain - friendly and accommodating hosts (provided a vegan breakfast for me) - tasty breakfast served on lanai - very reasonable price - comfortable bed Cons: - a number of ants and a few other bugs in unit - bathtub stained (clean but unappealing) Bottom line: I'd definitely consider staying again More

At the top of a hill is this lovely haven! Surrounded by the lush tropical flowers and fruit trees, this residence is perfectly situated to capture the breeze. Beds are very comfortable, although the sheets are slightly worn, rooms are spotless (and in a tropical location where bugs are everywhere, that's no small fete). Ceiling fans in all the rooms... Owner is a very gracious host. Serves great, warm breakfast with fruit. Her cooking is excellent. Meals are served to guests in the deck area, so there is an opportunity to mix with others. We stayed in small, private room off the court yard. Decor is rustic and simple. Property is tricky to find in secluded residential area on the... More
