My husband and I took my father to Hawaii for his 80th birthday, and the Hale O Nanakai was perfect for the three of us. We booked Hina's bed chamber and the Maile room, which share a bathroom and the upstairs common rooms, and look out to the awesome deck. This gave my dad some privacy. Hina's bed chamber was... More

I just can not express the exhilaration and gratitude i experience when receiving a rare review tagged "Perfect!" Your kindness and appreciation are just delightful and I am so pleased that your family vacation was everything you were hoping for. I'm sure your father will keep this trip at the top of his list of "lifetime favorites" and one that... More

Lovely home in a residential neighborhood. The king suite includes a comfortable adjustable bed and a well-appointed bathroom arrangement. The suite is separated from another bedroom by a sliding door which could create privacy concerns if both are occupied. The WiFi worked great. The ample breakfast consisted of cereals, bagels/bread and fruit --no egg/meat option. The common area is beautiful... More

What a delight to hear your glowing satisfaction with your room and all of our amenities! We strive to encompass and take into consideration many varieties of tastes, comfort levels, dietary concerns and aesthetic surroundings. On some occasions, I do successfully trap the ubiquitous rooster or two, and relocate them at the nearby Kukuiolono golf course, where golfers and walkers... More

Stayed here in December for a couple of nights and I was so sweet. I am a single woman traveler and it was the perfect safe getaway for me. The host even upgraded my room for no additional fee so I could be more comfortable! Thank YOU! I will be back with my man soon....

As we know, first impressions count. It was a delight to be greeted by Cathy at the B&B. She made me feel right at home and was SO hospitable.    Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was very generous and varied (selection of cereal, fruit, cheese, bagels, juice). I had a great stay in The Maile Room &... More

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay in the cozy Maile Room, which is a room with one of the best values on Kauai for solo travelers. Your friendship with the other guests staying upstairs warms my heart. These are lifelong experiences that one remembers always. I hope you will return to Kauai and be sure to rent a... More

My husband and I recently spent 3 lovely nights at Hale O Nanakai. We took a spontaneous trip to Kauai and were fortunate to get Laka's Garden (the apartment) beginning that day. Cathy, the manager couldn't have been nicer in booking the room, sending our confirmation and a map right away so we were prepared when we arrived in Kauai.... More

Stayed here for four nights, adorable little house with a lovely view of the ocean and the island. NOT right on the beach but a quick 10 min drive from shopping, the best beach I visited on Kauai, and great resturaunts. Owner was gracious and nice, staff was enthusiastically helpful and friendly. we stayed for a week over New Years and had a great experience. The neighborhood is quiet, the view from the deck and dining area are lovely. Sheila puts the tasty and creatively plated breakfast items out early so if you are on mainland time you can enjoy an early meal. She was so sweet and had champagne and chocolates... More

We had a wonderful time at this Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I stayed in Laka's room (downstairs unit). The pictures do not do the place justice, the decor is really beautiful, and we were delighted to find the place nestled up a hill, away from neighbors, and with amazing ocean views. It was fantastic to have a full... More
