I think some folks write from some expectations. Paniolo Greens is NOT on the beach -- it is 8 miles inland and upland. About a 15 minute drive to A beach and the shopping centers (you really need a car here - folks without a car are likely to be unhappy). We've been owners for something like 15 years and... More

Our unit was very clean. Maintenance assistance was needed and satisfactorily attended to right away. Assigned Parking is very convenient. Unit had lots of storage space and was roomy enough to be a permanent residence. Drawbacks were, the pool and recreation area are located at the very front of the resort and we had to drive to get there, also... More

We were looking for a place to stay close to Hapuna beach, and Spencer beach. I found this amazing place and couldn't believe the price. It was a total home away from home. There was not a thing I could say except the dining choices in that general are are slim Pickens. We opened our patio door to find a... More

Found this amazing 2 story 2 bedroom 2 bath on the golf course on a last minute deal. Close to shops and food and only a few minutes down the hill to the best sandy beaches on the Island. There are views of the oceans and mountains from your room as well as everywhere on the resort. Pool and workout... More

Clean and spacious room, great location, close to grocery store and restaurants. close to great beaches on the island. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking and Internet! Great rates as well. We paid $90 per night in April.

We elected to stay up in the Waikoloa area since our last stay in Kona was hazy with 'vog' (volcano fog) our entire trip. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: *The 2 bedroom 2bath are actually three bedrooms with three full bathrooms. *Lots of space for storage *Building B and C are next to the pool and small but... More

We stayed only one night, I wish it had been more. Nice condo, exceptionally clean. It is windy in that area, but other than that, it was a nice place to stay. We were on the second floor, which once inside the condo, is two stories. It was actually TOO big. The condo is nicely furnished and has all the... More

Firstly, let me say that the units were great - nice view of golf course and the volcanoes, clean, fully equipped, and extremely comfortable and spacious. We had a two-level unit which I would suggest for privacy/ quietness (the single level units are all on the main floor). The villa is located about 15 minutes inland from some great beaches... More

Our family enjoyed our week at the Paniolo Resort. A lovely relaxing place on the edge of a golf course with wild turkeys at our doorstep every day. Pool and tennis courts were enjoyable, but it is at least a 20 minute drive to any of the beaches in the area. Hapuna was our favourite. It was slightly cooler and... More

My friend and I travel to the Kohala region of the Big Island every October/November for 4 days of golf, and have stayed here 4 of the 5 last years. This resort is the best bargain around for this level of accommodation. The small distance from Waikoloa and Mauna Lani is very manageable and convenient. The newly renovated units are... More
